The staff here is the rudest, least helpful, unprofessional we have just about ever met. Simply put stay home, or in the street if you have to! Room dirty, dingy, loud. Never again! more

An amazing honeymoonThe staff here is the rudest, least helpful, unprofessional we have just about ever met. Simply put stay home, or in the street if you have to! Room dirty, dingy, loud. Never again! more
I made reservations here through the 1-800# (central reservaions?) provided at the Howard Johnson website. The website did not show the maximum capacity for rooms as did other hotel websites. So I called the # and the representative told me that a roll away bed could be placed in a room with 2 double beds. Based on that, the price,... more
What a great place to stay, for a great price! My husband, baby and I stayed here for three nights and were very pleased. It's a convenient location and everything's very new and clean. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. It was our first stay at a Hojo and we were pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend this motel... more
I work for a company in the hospitality business - so I've become very picky about the quality of restaurant visits and hotel stays. The Howard Johnson in Springfield? One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! The staff? Friendly and helpful! Knowledgeable about the area. Did I say friendly??? Location? Not on "airport row" but close enough to... more
The restaurant on the premises (probably an old HoJo's, now independently owned) has a party room with a terrace that encroaches on the motel's sleeping units. If you love to listen to party-goers having the time of their lives at one o'clock in the morning, this is the motel for you! BTW, don't bother calling the front desk -- they... more
Our hotel is attached to a restaurant (it is not an old Hojo's) that is independently owned and operated. They do have banquet facilities where various types of events are held. We would encourage any guest who has any issues with noise to please call the front desk immediately so that we can address it, either with individuals or with...
My in-laws live in nearby Media, PA and I've stayed at this Ho-Jo three times, so far, this year!! There is a restaurant associated with this hotel but I have not yet tried it because most Mothers-in-law love to cook!! Mine does!! Anyway, this is a close, clean, friendly hotel that I have been very satisfied with. I've stayed here... more
Our two-night stay was perfectly adequate. Everything was clean and the lights and plumbing all worked. Free parking outside the room, and ice and vending machines provide the only refreshment. It is easy to forget that 30 years ago nearly all motels were like this. We now expect a TV screen that welcomes us by name on arrival, fluffy bathrobes... more
While our hotel does not offer breakfast services the restaurant next door is open at 8 am for breakfast (This is the first time I have heard of it not being open at that time, but it is not ours so we cannot control it) there is also a Denny's, IHOP, and several chain restaurants within 1 ½ miles of...
My daughter and I were in the area, checking out the surrounding colleges and needed a place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised how well the front desk gave directions and the knowledge they had regarding the surrounding area to help us find there location. Upon checking in the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very... more
Well, c'mon -- it's a HoJo, on a busy highway in a strip-mall area, where a room cost $89/night. If you're expecting the Ritz-Carlton, that's not a reasonable expectation... We chose this place because Swarthmore College's admission office said it was the closest hotel. We stayed here for one night during a two-night stay, and it was pretty much what... more
As part of a wedding, we checked in to our room, and had time only to put our suitcase in the room, brush our teeth and leave. When we returned late that night (1:00am), we got ready for bed-- and stopped there. When we turned down the sheets, we saw dirt and what looked like marks that someone's dirty feet... more
First to address the housekeeping issues we have for the most part all new staff most importantly a new head housekeeper. Our hotel saw the need for change and took action, and has gotten rid of anyone who was unable to work up to par. That includes all of the issues this guest references regarding housekeeping. We strive everyday to...
