We were going to try to stay at the Holiday Inn just next door. They were already booked, but they helped us book a room at the Days Inn. Lobby is pretty, which is misleading for the halls/rooms. The halls/rooms were smelly and you couldn’t open the windows in the room to air it out, nor did the bathroom have... more

Because we had to stay for a special event (Grandma's Marathon in Duluth,MN), we understood all the hotels charged higher rates. However, after having to pay first a deposit by check, then in full by check 2 months before the stay, I feel we paid way too much for what we got. We ended up paying 3 times the usual... more

My husband and I have stayed there twice, in September and November 2007. Granted it's a little dingy (that vacant restaurant out front looks bad, but they have plans to turn the area into a conference room), but the service is friendly and the price is right. Our room was quite clean. Tile and countertops in the bathroom are a... more

What a huge disappointment!!!! Couldn't even find the place because there was no sign, just this old banner hanging where a sign should be. It's HIDDEN behind a vacant Embers restaurant and next to (the much nicer) Holiday Inn Express. Days Inn was nothing in comparison -it was absolutely DISGUSTING! Smelled of SMOKE, carpets very STAINED and DIRTY, hotel just... more

Nothing amazing, but just fine. They gave us a coupon for 2 for 1 drinks at their little bar when we checked in. Nice touch. The pool is indoors and not bad considering what can pass for an indoor pool these days. It kind of looks like an outdoor pool area that was enclosed. Has hot tub and dry sauna.... more

Stayed there and booked on phone after viewing photos on their website. Photos and the real thing were very different. Was told over the phone that we could have adjoining rooms with my parents so the gradkids could enjoy their stay. That did not happen, as the front desk girl said, they are assigned on a first come firtst stay... more

This was my first experience with booking through Hotwire and I will never do it again! We didn't save that much money and we were very limited as to what kind of room, etc. This hotel needs a lot of work and renovation. There was no foul odor or anything like that but it is just so rundown. Who ever started... more

We had two rooms for three nights over 4th of July. The hotel is showing it's age but our rooms were clean and neat and housekeeping did an excellent job. We had a king bedded room and our kids had two queens. They were not adjoining but we were put next to each other. The pool/whirlpool were fabulous. We spent... more

We called this hotel because all Duluth was booked for a convention of doctors. We heard mixed reviews of this hotel but thought it was giving a shot. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was newly remodeled. The lobby was one of the nicest I've seen at a Days Inn and the rooms were clean and fresh. With the other... more
