I was in San Diego ..for my first time this past weekend. Stayed there from Jan 12- Jan 15 (3 nights). First things first .... Yes I was there on business .... so this means all work very little sleep ...so I decided not to spend big $$$$ ..... this hotel was perfect for the budget $99/ night via price... more

Here's the deal on this Rodeway Inn...it's either owned or managed by the people across the street...Holiday Inn Express, which used to be Comfort Inn. One of the front desk people tell us it is slated to be demolished next year and a Hyatt put in its place, so don't expect any great improvements. We booked it as the Comfort... more

Earlier this month, I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is acceptable, generally speaking. The rooms were, for the most part, clean. However, the bedding/pillow cases smelled musty of cigarette smoke, and I had a non-smoking room. I guess people smoke in these non-smoking rooms? The room was very spacious and quiet, which was nice. I did not feel... more

I stayed there 1 night just after staying at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown on the other side of the street. My room did not have any fridge nor any safe box. The window was old and would not close, I heard a ventilation noise all night long. I also could hear my neighbours as walls were very thin and... more

First, if your looking for a deal, keep looking. This place would not be a deal if it was only 40 bucks. I've posted a review once regarding customer "no service". Well, it doesn't get any better. Stains of questionable origin, hair trimmings left around the sink, a broken remote and hair dryer, an air conditioner that rattled all night... more

I stayed at the Comfort Inn in October of 2005. The hotel itself was nothing special but for the price it was a great deal. You can't find a cheaper hotel in the downtown area. When I first arrived around 2pm I tried to check in early (Check-in is at 3pm) and was greeted very rudely by the person working... more

The room was clean enough, though the water dripped very fast from the bathtub faucet. There was mildew on the bathroom walls. The bathroom hadn't been updated and the wallpaper was an ugly pink. I could hear the guy above me urinating and then heard a loud flush. When I took a shower, every time someone flushed the toilet, I... more

Stayed there for four days in May. Clean rooms, good location with an easy walk to the trolley and Petco Park. Quiet area, though it is on the highest point in San Diego, so going back on foot is real exercise. Continental breakfast was so so. We would stay there again more

Ok where do I start??? Well the room smelled..the bathroom was filthy...there was mold in the shower...1 towel had blood on it...some guy pee'd in front of our window...the bed was hard as a rock...the pillows were sacks of flour...When I went to complain Bruce literally said "I'm waiting for the punchline - what did you expect?" and I'm not... more

The staff lost my reservations from two and a half months prior and did not find me alternative lodgings, leaving me homeless the first night there. Actually, they did send me to another Comfort Inn, but their communicating skills were so poor so that didn't realize that the other site was already full, after which I received no further help... more
