My family (husband, Mom, niece and my 2 year old son) and I just returned from a 5 day stay at the Ursuline Guest House. Having never been to New Orleans before, we weren't sure what to expect, especially post-Katrina. Bill and Marlin greeted us like old friends, and I can't praise them enough! They went above and beyond the... more

We have just returned from a four day stay at the Ursuline Guest House. The guest house or bed and breakfast was a great disappointment. We occupied rooms 7 and 9 and the rooms were in desperate need of renovation, remodeling, a professional interior designer and cleaning. When we walked into room 7, we were greeted with a musty order,... more

At the Ursullines Guest House your daily cares will slip away as you enter another era. The first sip of wine at 6 PM in the courtyard where shadows caress memories will relax you. You are within an easy walk of the French Quarter where pleasure is the venue. Enjoy your morning coffee lounging in the courtyard or soaking in... more

Not too funky, not too fancy. Just right. Perfect for a relaxed and comfortable stay in the peaceful side of the French Quarter. Far enough away (yet conveniently short walking distance) from the always awake and alive (and often wild and noisy) Bourbon Street in one direction and the Marigny's Frenchman Street in the other direction. We stayed 5 nights... more

Ursulines Guest House was a real discovery for me. I usually stay at hotels around Bourbon street and a guest house was a real change. Bill welcomed us like old friends and really showed his hospitality. Next time I'll take the boat ride offer. Too bad we had to leave so soon. New Orleans needs everybody's help for its revival... more

We returned from New Orleans vowing to go back again soon. The Ursuline Guest House was a little worn around the edges, but we loved it. Very laid-back and relaxing. It is within walking distance of many fine restaurants, jazz clubs, and tourist attractions. The courtyard, the wine and cheese each night, the owner, Bill, and the manager, Marlin. What... more

If you're looking for a place to stay with true New Orleans character and hospitality, where you can meet your neighbors over wine and cheese before heading out on the town, then look no further! I just spent a long weekend at the Ursuline Guest House, and I truly felt like an invited guest. The 1860s French Quarter building, with... more

We just spent a weekend at the Ursuline Guest House, and it was great! It's in a cute, quiet location that is only a short walking distance to Bourbon St and the French Quarter. There is a locked gate at the entry, so you feel secure. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are certainly very comfortable and have a... more

My partner and I were looking for a guest house in a quiet part of the French Quarter, close to attractions we enjoy, a place with a bit of history and not terribly expensive. We found it here! We found the room to be quite charming. Of course there were not tons of amenities being a very old structure, but... more

Had a great stay at Ursuline Guest House. Perfect location in the French Quarter. I highly recommend Wine & Cheese hour. Don't expect just wine and cheese for an hour, expect great conversations with other guests and wine and cheese being served for hours. The service was great.................................. The court yard and hot tub speak's for itself. Would recommend to... more
