Great hotel recently refurbished in Waikiki Tower. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very swish. This was a privately owned condo the hotel sells off and rents. It had a big kitchen but no pots/pans//cutlery to use so assume this was all in a locked cabinet. For two nights we did not need them anyway. Great view... more

I wasn't a huge fan of this place. Late at night, when I checked in, the lobby was horrendously lit with fluorescent lights and bad music was blaring from the nightclub just off reception...it was a pretty disconcerting way to be greeted after travelling for 12 hours. As well, the people I dealt with when I checked in were completely... more

This is probably a great hotel for business and wonderful if you're a shopper but this is not a great family hotel. We were visiting family and they selected the hotel, I would have picked something else. The view out to the city and beach was nice. There are no activities per se at the hotel and the pool is... more

As a native of Hawaii ...I hate to report what awful accomodations this hotel has... not to mention their lack of aloha or simple customer service..This room was like staying in a dorm..the video on the website viewing the room is a joke and thank goodness we were only staying there for one night ..I can't imagine where real travelers... more

On our third trip to Hawaii, we booked our hotel room directly via condo owner (vrbo). Staying on the 23rd floor, we experienced amazing views with rainbows on the horizon every day! As you step inside the hotel lobby, you are presented with an air of grandeur. Minimal waiting time for lifts and wide hallways gives a pleasant spacious ambience.... more

The hotel lobby and staff are above average. Stayed one night and toilet backed up at 2AM (without using it). Plumber responded quickly, but couldn't fix it. Had to change rooms at 2AM. Stayed another week at different time and room cleaning was missed one day. Called customer service and was told he would call back after talking to the... more

It's a couple blocks inland, but within 15-20 minute walking distance to all the action at Waikiki beach if you're looking for a Hawaii vacation without all the hotel cost, and don't mind a small hike. The rooms are clean and modern, although a little small. It's also next to a large mall. I had no complaints, I enjoyed my... more

We had dinner at Aaron's Top on the 34 th floor and... more

I travel to Honolulu several times a year on business. I chose this hotel after a pretty unpleasant experience at the Doubletree Alana. The Ala Moana looked about as nice and was significantly less expensive. Also, the location offers very easy accesss to the Ala Moana shopping center, Waikiki, and downtown. Overall, I consider the Ala Moana a solid three... more

The hotel is a Honolulu landmark. It's lobby is open and welcoming. The staff is friendly. The food service is appalling!! No room service. Breakfast is limited to a breakfast buffet and closes at 10:00 am. If you want a cup of coffee after that time, you are directed to the adjacent mall. Lunch is limited to a very small... more
