Alexander's is not HORRIBLE....but it's not great. The meat is not very flavorful or high quality--whether you cook it yourself or pay extra to have them cook it for you. The salad bar seems like a neat idea (there just aren't many salad bars anymore...) but it's usually out of items, messy, and the items that are there are often... more

I love Alexander's for a fancy date, because it is FAR too expensive for every day eating. Normally, my boyfriend and I spend about $50 not including tip when we go. It's cool to grill your own food! more

This was a good make-your-own steakhouse. We visited this while down in Bloomington-Normal for a visit - and enjoyed the casual atmosphere. We've been to a similar restaurant in Princeton (Prime Quarter). This isn't quite as good as Prime Quarter was - but close to comparable.
