The Mayflower is one of my favorite stops when I visit P-town. The food is always top-notch in a casual eatery kind of way. I'd say their staff is several stars above average for a tourist town and are a pleasant change from the aloof staff you find in most other seasonal restaurants. I like the ambiance of the historical... more

The Mayflower Cafe is a historical treasure set smack dab in the middle of all the 'action' P'Town has to offer. It is a welcome oasis from all the chi-chi, pretentious and overpriced joints that line Commercial Street. It is not snobby, elitist or precious. It is welcoming to all, serves great food and at very reasonable prices. Presentation is... more

Most reasonable prices in town if you're trying to feed the family without breaking the bank. We ate there twice, had lobster rolls and clam chowder one night, both very good, then had eggplant parmesan, also very good. Very fast service, we never waited long for anything. more

the staff are very nice. the food is basic diner stuff. My 7 year old complained his grilled cheese was too bland. It's all about white bread, margerine and plastic cups for beverages. If that's all you want, you'll be happy. more

Provincetown resturants can be pricey. The Mayflower, which is family run, has good, home-cooked style food at moderate prices. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I go there with my friends and am never disappointed. more

The stuffed clam appetizer $4.95 was interesting - try it for some local flavor. The fried clams $15.95 were really good. The lobster roll $13.95 was good - another local dish if you want to try the local specialties. The owner was behind the bar and chatted with us while we waited for a table. The owner told us that... more

The Mayflower has all the Cape Cod Staple food that you would want when in Provincetown. It is a family style restaurant with people and management who have been there since its beginning. The food is fantastic and if your luck enough to get a window seat, the place is just as great for people watching. I live in truro... more

The Mayflower Cafe is an unpretentious locally owned diner with good, basic food. If you are looking for a fancy night out on the town with your significant other this is not the place for you. If, however you are in Provincetown with your family and are looking for a reasonably priced menu with choices that the whole family can... more
