Quality little spot for an escape with a mistress to keep it on the DL. more

Have been to this restaurant more than once but it has been a few years in between visits. This is not a red "gravy" and meatballs type joint. And I am not saying there is anything wrong with those places like Ralph's also in South Philly. L'Angolo serves fresh homemade dishes with an emphasis on seafood. It is small and... more

What a pleasure to write about this BYO in South Philly! Cozy room (a little tight), but that was more than made up for in the food and the kind service of the staff. Generous portions without sacrificing excellent quality. more
Great little BYO place in South Phila. This one stands out a notch above the many other good BYO establishments in Philly. The menu is a a combination of both Northern and Southern Italian and there are a few unique things on the menu including the antipasta. Worth a try if you like dinign around at different BYOs. more
