Of course this is just my opinion (along with my boyfriend's)...we loved the Mexican as well as the Gourmet. Those were just our personal favourites. Coming in close third, Steak House!

We did not like the Italian at both the Ambar and the Bavaro. From the antipasto to the dessert, it just wasnt all that great in comparisson to the above. (of course, we are Italian and are a little bias lol)

If you go with another couple or meet someone there you can always book another restaurant visit under their name.

The best to me was the Steakhouse, whereas the Japanese was the worst. Food was too salty, but ambience and service was very good.

We Loved the steak house, food was brill, service was great. Didnt rate the food in the japanese, as someone else mentioned, it was too salty (and i'm a salt fan!) The gourmet had a nice atmosphere, food wasnt great, but when we went the year before last it was brilliant! Our fave was the steak house.

Italian..the buffet appetizers were nice, the meat ravioli had a strange taste..I had a chicken dish which was ok...four small pieces of chicken which I ended up sharing with my kids..my husband had lobster pasta..it had a fishy taste

Japanese...fun atmosphere...but even I a salt lover agree it was salty...but we enjoyed ourselves..the fried ice cream was fantastic

Le Gourmet...loving formal setting, excellent food presentation..Shrimp cocktail was nice...entrees were ok beef was tough..but its a lovely setting and they try very hard so I would pick it

The Grill...appetizers buffet style..ok...I ordered grilled tenderloin and it was the nicest piece of meat I had all week..my husbands Shrimp skewers were ok but they were wrapped in bacon and the bacon was not cooked

Be aware the hotel has adopted a new format, on arrival you receive a letter stating they have prearranged your ala cartes, we immediately called to change them..and were only able to change one..we were ok with the other choices so we left it at that
