Recently i was at Excelsior near Patpong road. It was great. Have wasted a whole day visiting many tailors which i found from the advertisement papers from james to Narry and in the end i and can say they are the best with the price and the quality of production. We had 6 suits and 20 shirts made and got a great deal for it. The shop is in downtown bangkok somewhere near silom road n patpong.

We too will be in Bangkok for 3 days, staying at the Lebua. Would either of these spots recommended be near by? Off to Koh Samui for 10 days following BKK, but suspect that BKK best for our suits etc.? Many thanks...

Hi There, With the sky train travel has become so much easier in Bangkok, Try taking the skytrain to Asok... there are a few good tailors there, they tend to be more expensive but are the real tailors, Try tanika and Moon River, I found both to be excellent, the guy at Moon River, I think his name is VJ was very informed and helped me and my wife. We were very satisfied and will definitely recommend them to all our friends .

Thanks for the tips...ended up at a place called Tony's, and while something tells me that we "may" have overpaid, feel happy with our stuff! We are learning...

they're alot of mixed reviews for tailors, some good some bad. For a personal one that I use regularly are Crown Tailors on sukhumvit soi 8. They're good, efficient and do things right, so you could pay them a visit.
