Good Stuff

Friendly service, nice night view, and proximity to Ginza without Ginza prices make this a place worth going back to. Massage chair was a bit overrated though.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Tsukiji fish market is only a 10 minute walk away - be sure to check it out at 5:00am to see the hustle and bustle and eat the freshest sushi you will ever have!

Good hotel, good price (for Tokyo), and convenient

I had read other reviews that the staff here didn’t speak English. I didn’t have that problem, all the staff there when I was there spoke more than anywhere else in Japan. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. We got a great rate on this room on Expedia. I probably wouldn’t be happy paying full price for this room, but it was nice and definitely a good deal for what we paid.

Hidden Gem in Tokyo

The hotel is a bit off the beaten track, but actually in a very good location. 5 mins walk from Tsukiji fish market, which means you are close to the best sushi anywhere. 10 mins walk to Ginza. Close to Hibiya-sen. Courteous staff was very helpful and glad to see us when we arrived.

We’ll be Back!

The hotel staff was very friendly and always ready to assist in any need. The only issue at the hotel was the condition of the carpet in the room which was beginning to show some wear although it was clean. The location of the hotel was very convenient with the subway system about 3 short blocks away and the Tsukiji Market about a quarter mile away. The hotel’s setting along the Sumida River and within an office/health care services facility area was serene and a welcomed "escape" from the intensity of the inner parts of Tokyo. The lounge on the 32nd floor with a panoramic view of the city and a great view of the Tokyo Tower was a great place for an early evening cocktail. The entire area is full of dining choices from great sushi, yakitori, Japanese noodles to one of the best shops in Japan, Pizza Salvatore. We even found a wine bar featuring European wines. We had a great time all during our stay. We will be back!

Good location, great service, nice hotel!

Stayed here for 5 days in May 2008. The service was great and rooms were very clean and new. Rooms were also large for Japan. There is a 7-11 in the same building as the hotel, which was very convienient, as well as a few restaurants.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

This hotel is in a quieter neighborhood, but still very convienient location. Just a 10-minute walk to the Tsukiji fish market, 5-minute walk to the Tsukiji subway station, which is one stop from Ginza. Also just a few stops or short taxi ride to the main Tokyo train station for the Shinkansen (high-speed train).

Wow

Have you ever been somewhere so nice you feel like you don’t belong? It was something like that. Fantastic service, spectacular view, and a massage chair to boot put this hotel head and shoulders above any others that I have stayed at.

Great Hotel in a Good Location

This hotel was a good find for us. It is close enough to Ginza to walk, or one subway stop, but far enough to warrant a better rate than the Ginza hotels. The hotel occupies several floors of a multiple use building, and there are a couple of coffee shops, convenience stores, a restaurants on the ground floor. There are few extra amenities (pool, exercise), though there is an affiliated swim & fitness center in the adjoining building. As there are only 93 rooms, it functions similar to a boutique hotel. The staff is excellent and very helpful, and the rooms are spacious by Tokyo standards. The carpet was a little tired, but as is typical of Japanese hotels it was very clean. The views are spectacular as the building is on the waterfront and the rooms are on the 32/33rd floors. We stayed in three Tokyo hotels and this was our favorite.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Tsukiji fish market is a 5 minute walk and there are excellent sushi places that border it, although these are a little expensive. For a great lunch or dinner option, walk or take the subway (on the Hibiya Line, from the Tsukiji station one stop to Higashi-Ginza) to Mitsukoshi or other Ginza department store and visit the colossal food martket located in the basement of every store. These are a cultural attraction alone, and a reasonably priced meal option.

Large room with excellent view

The hotel is situated near the Tsukiji fish market in a high rise building. It is extremely quiet. The room we had was 28 sqm (300sqft) and can be considered large for Tokyo. The view of the Samida river and surrounding area is spectacular (the hotel starts on the 32nd floor of the building.) The little touches of bathroom amenities (including hair lotion, razors, tooth brushes, electronic toilet) and others like the massage chair and the kimono style bathrobes propelled this hotel room into the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The free internet is via an extremely fast ethernet connection. The hotel staff speak some English, and if any difficulty arises in communication, rather write it down in English. Be polite, as everyone else is. Although the hotel is off the tourist beaten path, it is close to the wonderful old style town of Harumi (just across the bridge) and a 5 minute walk to the Tsukiji station. Taxis are located at the bottom of the building (but you will need the Japanese name of where ever you are going, even the TCAT or train station.) The Tsukiji fish market is surrounded by a mass of small eateries and provide an amazing taste experience.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Ignore the hotel’s expensive restaurant and rather go to the mall at the bottom of the building. There are about 7 restaurants which offer cheap food (apart from the italian one.) You can easily have dinner for two with a couple of beers for around 3,000 yen ($30.) Note that you will have to order in Japanese, so get your phrase book out and pictures to indicate what you want. Do not be rude as everyone is incredibly polite.

What a view!!

Incredible value if booked 30 days ahead and excellent service. Location was perfect. The best part was the view. I got lucky on this hotel.

The queen room had a sofa which my seven year old slept but it wass not a fold out. Upgrade to a twin room if you have a bigger child.
