very nice; comfortable, friendly, helpful.
everything was great about the hotel exept the breakfasts. They were lame, plentifuly but not a good selection. There was a selection, just not a good selection. The grounds were nice, close to grocery store and great access to the health club.

Wonderful experience!
This hotel was even more than I expected. Beautiful clean rooms, comfortable beds. The staff was extremely helpful booking tours, getting taxis and helping with the language barriers. They recommended nearby restaurants, directed us to the nearest supermarket. The included breakfast was far more than Continental - quite a nice buffet. Definitely will go back to this hotel.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Watch the hawks at the airport who say "official taxi" and then take you to a private car service that costs 10 times taxi fair. Only get into a metered taxi with the taxi sign on top. When shopping, always offer 30% or less or asked price. You will find great bargains if you know how to bargain. China was a great experience!!!!

A GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!!!!
My husband and I, 2 college aged children and my sister shared a 2 bedroom suite (1900 square feet!!!!!!!!!) WITH NO PROBLEMS. Plenty of privacy, huge kitchen, dining room/living room for hanging out together. There were 2 HUGE bathrooms (one with a large tub and separate shower, the other shower only). There is a washer/dryer in the unit. The front desk is always staffed by at least 1 person who speaks English very well and all the front staff (reception, bellboys) spoke English well enough to communicate. The "hotel" is actually several 15--18 story corporate apartments, so you get to know your "neighbors" from around the world at the complimentary breakfast--described as continental, but much more than rolls, cereal, milk, juices and coffee!! It is a hot buffet and the staff is happy to go to the kitchen and serve you eggs to order. The staff in all areas is very accommodating.
Traveler's tip on shopping
The Silk Market is fun, but the quality is poor. Work hard at pricing, be willing to walk away (they will grab you back and there are many stands selling the same stuff). We all had tailored outfits made. I have never seen men’s trousers finished of so nicely--they are partially lined!!!!

Excellent Place in Beijing
I have stayed in other high end hotels in Beijing. This one is far better than the others and the price was better. I met people that have been living in the hotel for 6 months and more. The eighborhood is a very good as well since it is right across from Chaoyang Park.
Traveler's tip on dining
Ask for directions to get to Dalian restaurant which is about two blocks away. It is very reasonably priced and has great food.
