“Unbelievable Stay”

Hotel Nikko Tokyo

Although we stayed here in February, I wanted to write a semi-quick review of this hotel since we might come back in July. First of all, the location is phenomenal; the monorail is literally a 30 second walk from the hotel, so you can get into the heart of Tokyo no problem. Now for the usual wows: the hotel was super clean (no wonder, it's Japan), the service severely friendly and helpful, the room with the jaw-dropping view and a sexy (and quite large) LCD TV with HD capability was very useful, and the stay overall was nostalgic. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel, which is located in one of the nicest regions of Tokyo (Odaiba). And I hope we'll be back there in July, I'll try to take some nice photos to post here.
Cheers.

“Good hotel”

Hotel Nikko Tokyo

4 of 5 stars
Glasgow, United Kingdom
Apr 23, 2008

The Nikko hotel will be a good choice in Tokyo for some but its not for everyone.
Firstly I have to say they staff are fantastic, helfpul, friendly, polite - everything you need them to be.
The hotel itself has a stunning lobby but the rooms are a little outdated and tired.
I found it jut to be a bit too far away from everything. Its in Odaiba, a man made island, a mile or two away from the biz. on the plus side there's a monorail right outside that takes you to Shiodome or Shimbashi and that was great but added 20 mins to get places.
Having said all this, I did enjoy my stay, but would stay somewhere a little closer to the action and more contemporary next time.

“The Best Hotel in Odaiba”

Hotel Nikko Tokyo

5 of 5 stars
Taichung, Taiwan
Apr 22, 2008

We stayed in this hotel for four nights in the end of Jan and it was great. They let us book our Disney shuttle bus a month before our stayed and arranged it well. My mom and I was the only passenger booking the shuttle on that day and they didn't even hesitate.

Room view was great. Although we didn't get to stay in the rooms facing rainbow bridge, but the view from our window was great. You can see from my pictures. You can even see Fuji Mountain from the windows on a clear day.

Breakfast varieties are ok. Room service was great and I even enjoyed having breakfast in our rooms instead of going downstairs.

Although we had to take the shuttle to get to downtown Tokyo city, but wasn't a bother. There was too much to see just in Odaiba. I'm sure I will stay here again.

“Loved the Nikko Hotel - romantic, elegant hotel with great service!”

Hotel Nikko Tokyo

Sorry for posting this review only 4 months after my stay at Nikko Hotel. I simply forgot... I stayed there for a training event last Dec. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and with its breathtaking view of the Rainbow Bridge, it was wonderful.

I was on the Executive Floor and the room didn't appear old to me (quite contrary to what another reviewer said). It wasn't brand new but well kept. The room was also huge and well appointed. There was also a little balcony and I remember stepping out to take pics of the rainbow bridge. Most rooms have a view of the bridge.

The hotel is also located right next to malls in Odaiba, and even the restaurants there offer great views of the area. Plenty of things to do there.

I don't recommend this hotel if you are not planning to spend 1 or 2 days at the Disneyland or other Odaiba theme parks. Though the hotel is directly linked to the train station, it will take you 45 mins to an hour to reach Tokyo's city centre. I tried that myself.

It's great for holidaymakers or honeymooners!

“Great experience here!”

Hotel Nikko Tokyo

5 of 5 stars
Fullerton, Ca, USA

We were primarily going to Tokyo to see Disneyland Tokyo and Disney Sea during cherry blossom time/spring holiday. All Disney Hotels or Disney partner hotels closer to Disneyland were booked or extremely expensive. VERY reasonable price for 4 nights here through expedia. Shuttle bus (20 minutes) to and from Disneyland is available. If shuttle is full or you want to leave at different times, very easy metro connections from Disney to hotel. Location was ideal for us. Fantasic harbor view of rainbow bridge and Tokyo. Corner room with balcony was very spacious, comfortable king sized bed, room was extremely clean and well maintained. Very pleasant staff with good English skills. Shopping centers and many restuarants close by. Easy ride to Shimbashi station by Yurikamome monorail. We also visited Ginza, Ueno and Asakusa areas from here using metro - no big deal to get into Tokyo. Airport express bus available to/from Narita airport. If you want to feel like you are in downtownTokyo and want all of the crowds and noise, then don't stay here - it's peaceful and quite. A friend who lives in Tokyo said all the "young people" who want to get away fromTokyo for the weekend come over to Odaiba (reclaimed island on which hotel Nikko is located). Downside - hotel restaurants very expensive - but many alternatives within walking distance. Shopping centers and restaurants can be quite packed during summer weekends.
