The Charela Inn, what is there to say except it is a beautiful place to stay. It was my third time there and will go back again. The second level beachfront rooms above restaurant and bar are just beautifull, The bathroom is very spaceous. We always take all inclusive, you get the menu for everymeal with lots of choices, something for every one. The food is very good. The staff friendly and courteous, After three times there, they are like family and they do remember you when you go back. The beach is beautiful with nice palm trees, we have walked the 7 mile beach many times and this beach is the best, to get some shade and sun to your liking. Clive is quiet and discrete, but rest assured he watches out for you. Nobody will disturbe you there. The is entertainment twice a week. This is a nice place to go , if you want to relax and rest. This is not a party place with the crowd and noice. I would say its a family atmosphere, quiet and friendly. The staff will do there best to make your stay enjoyable.
My husband has back problems and Sandra was the first who helped him, she is the best masseuse. Miss you all, Shane at the bar, Debbie and Marcie best joyfull waitresses and not to forget Clive at the beach.

We traveled to the Charela over new year 2007/8. Our bedroom was OK but tired and needed a refurb. The bathroom, however, was awful. The sink was cracked and dirty, the tiles were cracked and the grouting had mold growing on it. The bath/shower screen was disgusting - all in all it needed to be completely made over. That apart, the rest of the hotel was OK - but only OK. The food was disappointing, and in my opinion, greatly over-hyped.

So, you ask - why did we stay there? Actually we didn't - we moved out and found somewhere else!

On the up side though, beach was stunning and the best part of the holiday. If you stay there, go to the little beach bar next door - the food is great and much cheaper than the hotel.

“The best resort by far! Exceeded expectations!”

Charela Inn

We just returned from a two weeks vacation in Jamaica. We stayed at Charela Inn and got married the first week and then had our honeymoon at The Caves the following week. We were accompanied by 53 guests the first week. Every single one of our guests absolutely loved their trip! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, friendly, amazing, accommodating place to get married. Our family, friends and I would return for sure. Charela Inn has the most beautiful beach on 7 Mile beach and by far the friendliest staff I've ever seen. The food is phenomenal and lots of variety. Very clean rooms and resorts. The pictures on the website truly don't do it justice. If you haven't been you have to go!!! For all the people planning to get married in Jamaica, I would for sure recommend Charela Inn!!! They were very accommodating, helpful and patient. So many perks! The best part is that it is intimate. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
We booked our trip with Negril One Stop Vacations. Bob and Susan were absolutely awesome! We went through many traveling agencies to book our wedding but we were never satisfied with the service. They made things so complicated. Let me tell you that when we found One Stop Vacation - both Bob and Susan made our life 100x easier. It was almost too good to be true. I was worried at first and didn't know if you could trust a smaller company but let me know that I would for sure travel with them again!

“Thoroughly enjoyed the Charela Inn!”

Charela Inn

We (family of 4 with 2 teens) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Charela Inn from Aug. 12 to Aug. 18. It is located on a great stretch of beach with soft white sand and palm trees providing the perfect amount of natural shade that we required. The ocean was lovely and warm with a large section roped off for swimming.

The attendant at the beach provided lounge chairs and towels and he also arranged for jet skis for $80 per hour. (When we stayed at the Riu Negril in May of 2007 we paid $120 per hour) He also kept a watchful eye on the hustlers on the beach. When my husband and I returned from a beach walk our teens let us know they had been bothered by a man who yelled at my daughter that he hated Canadians and was insisting on using my son's ipod....before an incident could occur Clive sent the man away rather quickly. It was good to know he was quietly observing everything.

We booked the all-inclusive option and the food at the restaurant was very good... better than the Riu Negril. The waitresses were always very friendly and helpful....accomodations were easily made for our personal tastes with any menu items.

Although I didn't see any of the other rooms, I would recommend the deluxe beach front rooms that we had as they had great views of the beach and sunset with lovely balconies.

One night we had dinner at LTU pub on the cliffs which we enjoyed very much....great view and nice variety on the menu.

We booked TOTTT for airport transfers and a tour of Montego Bay and Mayfield Falls. We used them on our trip in May also and I cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. Solomon, Sienna and Gilbert gave us great personal service. With the hurricane fast approaching, Sienna dropped her preparations at home and got us to the airport a day ahead of when we were scheduled so we could get out before it hit landfall. I'm very grateful for her help and just praying that her family is safe and well.

I hope that Charela Inn made it through hurricane Dean without any damage and that everyone is safe and well. Hopefully we will return soon!!

“Best Location”

My boyfriend and I frequent Negril quite a bit. We have walked the length of the beach and in our opinion, Charela is located on the best part. All inclusives like Club Riu and Couples swept away and others have fabulous beaches too.
Charela's beach is wide and very clean. The rooms are fine. Shower was a bit tricky to get the right temperature but once you tweaked with it a bit and had patience, it came right.
The staff are lovely. As I said, this place had definitley the best beach location along with Cocoa La Palm which is right beside it.
