Beach House Villas

The Beach House Villas were wonderful. We brought our three children with us ranging in ages 15 to 6 and they cannot stop talking about the place. The vendors were a bit over whelming when we first got there, but once Security got on the beach the vendors pretty much left you alone unless you called them over. All of the people at Beach House were so helpful and kind. We loved the grounds crew - Hey Bull and Kevin was great. The restaurant on site was good and they would even make special dishes if you asked, great chef. Our villa looking over the ocean was very nice and comfortable. We have no complaints and are going back again in July without the kids.

“EveryTing is Every Ting at Beach House”

Beach House Villas

Jun 6, 2008

I have been to Beach House 4 times with my family now over the last 6 years (girls ages 12 & 14) and have had a great time on each visit. For the price of the Condos vs what you pay at the all inclusives you can't miss. There is enough to do in Negril to find your own good times either as adults or kids and it is all right in front of you on the mighty 7 mile beach. We always felt safe as there is a security guard on the beach all day and most of the night plus you have Bull and Bujo working the beach and maintenance always keeping an eye out for the kids. If you need any sort of sightseeing then hook up with House A Black who runs his own service (glass bottom boats, taxi etc...) You are also within 500 yards of 3 different outdoor bars that have concerts during the week at night. The condos could use a bit of updating but this is Jamaica and they are stil in much better shape then many other properties Negril. The biggest issues with the condos are the showers and the cable TV but you should not be inside anyway and showers are almost always issues on beach vacation spots. Overall you can't beat the value of Beach House as you should go to the HiLo (grocery store) 2 miles up the road and get stocked with supplies then eat meat patties and fresh fruit from the vendors that walk around all day for lunch and you can escape on vacation without breaking the bank and having a great time.

Beach House Villas

We went to the beach house villas from 4/19-4/26/2008... we were a group of 6 with 4 adults ( ages 39-56) and 2 children ( ages 9 & 10)... We rented the 1st & 2nd floor ofthe beach house villa .
Our driver Jinx arrived at the airport for our pick up as promised, no problems. We arrived at our villa about 1 1/2 hrs later and checkied in without any problems . Then we were shown to our villa. The villa was yards from the ocean and directly on the beach... The kids could play on the beach or in the ocean and we could see and hear them clearly from our villa balcony. The view is incredible from both the 1st & 2nd floors. The 1st floor is more shady and the balcony is surrounded by lush foliage whereas the 2nd floor is a more sunny suite. GORGEOUS sunsets can be viewed everynight from your balcony or beach. And the ocean is just incredible...
it was so great to open up the front and back balccony door and have that great breeze blowing through all day long...
The suites also have back balconies that are considered jungle view because of all the lush foliage. The rooms themselves were clean and nice, but i thought they could have used some brightening up on the inside to add to the ambiance. My kids big complaint was that the reception on the tv's were very poor at night. The staff was very nice and very helpful. Rides were easily arranged at the front desk with jinx. We visited cool runnings water park and also went to margaritaville twice. The villa also had a buffett & bonfire, which they have once a month. they also had live music. The property next door also has a monthly " wake" which is really just a huge party that rocks into the wee hours of the night too... it seems they welcome everyone. Braiding, jewelry, handicrafts, art, rum , cigars, jetskis, parasailing, glass bottom boats, fruit , fresh juice are all available to you on the beach thru different sellers. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby on the beach... our favorite was kuyaba, our least favorite was the choices restaurant attached to the beach house villas. The food was usually good but it literally took hours for something as simple as omelets... expect to spend 100 usd on breakfast or lunch daily on the beach if you want speedier service and better food... and expect to spend about double that for dinner if you like your drinks.. again i am talking about 4 adults & 2 kids here so take that into consideration.
Next time, we will fedex groceries ahead or have the driver take us from the airoprt to a supermarket for basics before ever going to our villa...
Overall, this was a great place...very relaxing and much more laid back than at a resort... i think you get a better taste for the real jamaica when you stay outside of the resort. I dont think we wore shoes/flip flops etc to go out to eat the entire week... it was really great & i hope to be luck enough to do it again next year...

“Amazing...Absolutely Amazing!!”

Beach House Villas

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Beach House Villas for 5 days (April 19-23) and had an amazing time. I travel a lot for work and am a hotel snob. We got an excellent rate from hotels.com (about $180/night for the one bedroom villa). The villa was large and very very clean. The resort staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The place was beautiful and the beach was very clean. I've stayed in Montego Bay before where I was limited to staying to the resort's beach, but here you are free to walk up and down the "7 Miles". We stayed on the villa and didn't go very far. I highly recommend the jerk chicken and jerk pork at the Bourbon Beach House which is located 3 or 4 resorts away and you can walk there on the beach. The Bourbon Beach House also has great live reggae concerts. We ate breakfast at the resort, which was good and decently priced. We did walk to the local supermarket downtown, which was very overpriced ($110US) for 2 days worth of food, so you're better off eating out. The exchange rate on a good day was $70US/$1JA but that rate often went down to around $65/$66. Your best bet is to pay in $JA even though most places take $US. Our last night we went to Rick's and the sunsets were amazing. The drinks were good and priced well. We had dinner there as well, but it was something you can get at Friday's or any other American chain. Overall, great experience in Negril. The Beach House Villas were absolutely amazing and I highly recommend this resort.
