Just returned from a six night stay at the Suites at 1 King West, and could not be happier with our choice. Front desk staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. Our west-facing suite on the 47th floor was well-equipped, immaculate and gorgeous. Concierge was helpful, taking the initiative to call the tour company to confirm our pickup time, even though we booked it online and not through the concierge desk. Location was perfect, we walked to everything - Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market, Harbourfront, CN Tower, Entertainment District, Chinatown, Casa Loma, ROM, Bloor-Yorkville - and even managed to navigate the underground PATH back to the hotel during an afternoon shower. The lobby bar was surprisingly lively and a great place to relax with a frosty cold beverage after all that walking. We decided we would probably be quite happy living there (the hotel, not the lobby bar).

Our room (2008) had a partial lake view. Check in was good, allowed straight in even though we got there over an hour before the regualr check in. The Room was very nice, clean with a comfortable bed nice decor and a full kitchen. The powerful air conditioning, large TV, fridge an CD player were all useful. We paid about £90 per night which mean the hotel seemed very good value. Toronto is not as big as I expected with not as much to to as many other major cities. Musts include a trip up the CN Tower and dinner at Gretzky's on Blue Jays Way was a highlight.

Stay in Toronto for 3 nights at the King West Hotel. The hotel was located on the main shopping street in downtown and not to far from the Eaton centre.... you may of guessed i did loads of shopping! From this hotel everything is in walking distance - habour/CN tower/nightlife etc. This is a great hotel for a tourist who can walk everywhere if the weather is good. The rooms were very big, with a washing and a dryer/cooking hob/ fridge/ mircrowave. as we were travelling alot we washed a few clothes very easy to use just need to buy some powder to put in tho. bathroom a good size... only annoying thing was that when other people closed there doors our door would shake as if someone was trying to enter into our room which woke me up a few times in the night as i thought someone was trying to get in!!! otherwise great hotel for tourists with a great locations to all the tourist attractions!!

We had a very nice stay at 1King West during a recent business conference. As stated in other reviews, verything you need is in the room (frige, washer, dryer, ironing board with a decent iron, two flat screen tv's, dvd player), along with some cute extras. For the coffee machine, instead of the cheap powdered creamer, there were the miniature tubs of creamer and Equal instead of the off brand pink stuff. We have found that quite a few hotels restrict use of the input jacks in the tvs so they can sell you movies and viceo games, but we were able to hook up our own equipment to the tvs.

We had a nice one bedroom suite room (can't remember the number) on the 14th floor with a balcony. The balcony had no chairs, so we just opened the doors and enjoyed the breeze. The windows in the bedroom were functional and we enjoyed the fresh air.

The bar downstairs is nice during the evening. Great atmosphere and people-watching. Room service ended early. We bought some nasty frozen food to cook in the microwave...not recommended

The hotel is close to a lot of very good shopping. Convneient to a drug store and Over Easy (great breakfast place).
