NH Schiller have old school charm but are newly renovated. Strangely enough my room (103) was still pestered with noise from the old floorboards.
I stayed in a single room and had little space for anything apart from sleeping. TV was located in a way that made it difficult to look at it from the bed. For a person that likes to watch TV after a night out that can be quite frustrating or at least result in a stiff neck the next morning.
My colleagues on this business trip seemed rather pleased with their rooms but not overenthusiastic. The breakfastroom was as the rest of the hotel Old school but not very charmy. To have undergone a refurbishement I must admit that I wondered why they hadn´t try to give the hotel more new charm.
Location is very central and the hotel was overall very clean and staff gave good enough service. So if you have no need for that little extra touch and service I believe this to be a good choice.
Despite all the original paintings of the artist Schiller in the public areas (hence the name) I found the hotel to lack that unique touch that will make me a returning guest.
Notice that rooms fronting the park are quite noisy so if you´re a light sleeper you must ask for a room facing the backyard. There are plenty of clubs around the Rembrandt Square were the hotel are located.
