My boyfriend and I went to Brussels for a long weekend. We found Brussels bike tours through Trip Advisor and seeing as it was the number 1 attraction thought we had to check it out. And i'm glad we did, the bike tour was one of the best things we did in Brussels.
It is an excellent way to see the City especially if you have a limited time there. Cesar, our guide, was great! Very knowledgeable, friendly, funny and patient. There were suppose to be another 2 members in our group but they were a no show, so it was just the two of us and Cesar - which was great, as Cesar showed us the places we were interested in going to such as where Delerium was (awesome bar, everyone should visit!). We went along at a leisurely pace taking side streets and bike lanes, and stopped half way for beer and the best frites in Brussels! Brussels is the perfect city for a bike tour as there are bike lanes on all roads, the traffic isn't bad and the traffic gives way to bikes. Unfortunately it started to rain on the tour, but this didn't stop Cesar showing us all the sights, and didn't take anything away from the experience. I recommend trying to do the bike tour on your first day in Brussels, as it gives you a really good coverage of all the city and major sights, so that you can plan which ones you want to go back over the rest of your holiday, and also makes finding your way around much, much easier!
Cesar, if you're reading this, thanks very much!
