Arriving late at night from Athens, my wife and I were met by smiles a clean room and a comfortable bed at a reasonable out of season rate. We even braved the autumnal chill and had a swim in the hotel pool. All in all, this is a good honest modern hotel without any WOW!!! factor.

We stayed at the Danae hotel and it was such a great experience! It is a convenient walking distance from the port and town...my kids enjoyed the great pool, but REALLY enjoyed walking across the street where there is a path down through frangrant pine trees to the edge of the sea...my kids snorkeled there, alone and the scenery knocked our eyes out...the staff was friendly and I can't say enough about th location...close enough to town to go in for supper at night and swim, but far enough away to be peaceful.

If you are going to Aegnia, you can't do better than this great find! It is a 10 minute walk up the hill from the main harbor. In my mind that is a big plus! You don't get the scooter noise, and you are only a few steps from the beach. Plus in only a few minutes you can be at any restaurant you want. If you have a lot of luggage when you arrive by boat, it is only a 3 euro taxi ride :)

I was in Aegina to see friends and wanted something inexpensive, yet comfortable. I was surprised to see that for the price at the Danae I had a telephone (which was quite cheap for calling within greece), air conditioning, an amazing poolside view, TV and a refrigerator.

The service from the entire family that works there was great - when I arrived they made me some greek salad and fruit right away, and had already taken messages from my friends. Whoever wrote a review complaining about the service must have been on another island!

I have been on Aegina before and not enjoyed the housing so much... when I go back this september, I will DEFINITELY stay at teh Danae...

My wife and I have just returned from 6 nights at the Danae Hotel , on Aegina island. The Hotel was easily accessible from the port, only a 10 minute walk or 3 to 4 minutes in a taxi (3 Euros).

The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room, which was overlooking the pool with a glorious seaview, while not the largest we have stayed in, was nevertheless very clean and comfortable.

There is daily maid service with towels being changed every day and the bed linen twice weekly. As we visited in April the temperature was not a problem, but there is air-conditioning in all rooms.

Breakfast is served in a conservatory style room which is light and airy and there is a good selection of cereals, fruit, bread, juice, coffee, ham, cheese and pastries.

The pool is child friendly with a shallow end, and surrounded by non-slip wooden decking.

There are a numvber of reasonably priced tavernas within 10 minutes walk, and further into town a large selection of cafes, bars and shops.

Great place to stay for good food, wonderful scenery and a relaxed pace of life.
