When I saw how much my travel agent had me paying for the room I was certain that I had been booked into one of the best suites in the house--which was not the case. I had a small room overlooking the cafeteria on the first floor. While the night manager did nothing about it, the day manager looked at the reservation system and saw that I was indeed paying a lot for one of the least pleasant rooms the hotel had. For about 30 Euros more (40 bucks) she put me into a room that was more than twice the size. I found the attention from the staff when I voiced my concern was very responsive (the night manager told me I would have to speak to the day manager!) and my issue was solved immediately.
If you book one of the smaller rooms, you may not enjoy your stay--Stockholm can be a rainy city, and you don't want to be in a dark and small room when the weather is bad. However, for a little extra you can get a room that will make your stay worthwhile and you will actually look forward to returning to the hotel for a comfortable night's sleep.
The breakfast is indeed quite satisfying--a large selection of egg, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, yoghurts, and juices. While I have never been overly impressed with the Radisson, I will give them a try once more given my stay in Stockholm.
