Even before we arrvied at oasi Beach, i knew that it would be great. I booked directly through the hotel by email (which i got off there website) and then recieved about 7 lovely emails from the owners Daughter, Cristina. She gave great directions to find it from the airport, information on the opera in Verona etc
It is a little bit out of Malcesine, but it is a nice walk along the lake (or a bike ride - the hotel has a few bikes) in to town, and parking is easy.
There is a road between the hotel and the Lake, but this is the case in nearly all of the hotels.
There is no pool at the moment, but they are planning on building one this winter, regardless of this, we were so near to the lake that we swam in the lake, which was far better than swimming in a pool.
There are only 7 bedrooms, and all have a lakeview, which in itself is very special. Our balcony was huge as was all the ones next to us, with a sunlounger, and table and chairs.
The rooms were fine, comfy bed, good bathroom, minibar, safe and aircon.
The only negative would be that the towels are not great, dont go expecting bug fluffy ones - maybe take your own.
Breakfast was fantastic, meats, cheese, cereal, bread, cakes and loads more. They even do bacon and egg.
It is in effect only a bed and breakfast, but we enjoyed gettting back at the end of a night, and having a cappachinl and drink in the bar before bed.
There is loads to do within a short drive away, Lots of people told us not to go to Riva del Garda, as it wa too big and touristy, so we went only for dinner one night, and were surprised and how nice it was. It is very big in comparison to most of the other towns and villages around the Lake. But has a great atmosphere in the evening. lots of lovely bars and restaurants. Big designer shops such as MaxMara, Dior, Chanel, Lacoste, Prada. Which was nice for window shopping.
Malsecine was my favourite town (lucky as thats where we were based) big enough to have lots of shops and restaurants, but still a little town feel. This is also where the cable car goes to the top of Mount Blanco.
The cable car to Mount Blanco is a must, but you have to go early as the amount of people waiting in line to get it is silly. At the top you can watch them parrogliding off the mountain, there are a coupl of restaurants, it is like going skiing but with out the snow, as all the ski lifts go here, and the restaurants play yoggling music and serve hot chocs and strudel among lots of yummy things. They even have deck chairs so you can sunbathe.
We also stayed at another hotel in Bardelno. But thats another story.
All in all Oasi beach is fantastic value for money - and hit the nail on the head with every aspect.
