We spent 4 nights in the 2 bedroom holiday homes attached to the Kenmare Bay Hotel in July 2008. These holiday homes are superb. All mod cons including flat screen tv's in the bedrooms, washing machine, dish washer, large beds, back garden. I could go on. The hotel is just a 3 minute walk from the quaint town of Kenmare which offers the usual touristy stuff. The hotel is an ideal base to see all the beauty spots in the area.

The hotels swimming pool is a good size and the staff are friendly however the showering facilities at the pool leave a lot to be desired.

The main hotel itself is fine but could do with a tidy up. Some areas have been recently been refurbished. The courtyard bar is small and needs revamped (being the only bar in the hotel). Also there is a kids club but this only runs in the evening time and does not appear to be high on the managements list of priorities.

All in all a nice hotel with excellent holiday homes and good value for money

The Kenmare Bay Hotel, in the delightful town of Kenmare, was the start of our stay in Ireland. We could not have wished for a better base for our exploration of the South-West of the country. With cheerful and helpful staff they made our stay very special and as in all parts of the world you need a good breakfast and we certainly got the real deal at the Kenmare Bay.
On our departure they booked us in to the Riverside Hotel in Killarney which also provided us with great service and all you require in terms of comfort and ambiance. If anyone is planning a trip to Irelands South-West both these places should be on your radar.

I just spend a nice romantic weekend in this beautiful hotels with my new girlfriend. The hotel is nice the rooms / beds was clean. The bar is excellent :) They have very very good beers... And of course the restaurant was perfect inc with the food. And the staff...they are smart nice peoples.
I know on the next summer i visit that place again. Thanks for everything..

Stayed recently in one of the lodges as the hotel itself was full and we wanted to book two rooms so staff offered us a 2 bedroomed lodge. These lodges are absoluetly stunning-they put my own house to shame. Everything is sparkling and brand new.its such a pity I didnt bring my camera because words cannot do them justice. Whoever did the interior design deserves an award because everything is so perfect. The downstairs is open plan with huge leather sofa and plasma tv with chorus.Big kitchen with everything you would have at home-tea coffee etc all supplied. Large private back garden. Bedrooms extremely tastefully decorated with huge bed and fab pillows. best night sleep we've had in ages. The power shower was indeed a POWER shower-super way to wake up in the morning. Even though we werent actually syating in the hotel we were still able to get breakfast there and to use the swimming pool etc which was great. Any of the staff we came across were very pleasant and friendly. The hotel itself looked really nice but it is the lodges that I will be highly recommending to all my friends
