“Great value for money!”

Best Western Hotel Stellar

Recently organised 3 nights accomodation in 2 rooms for my parents & my aunt & uncle at Stellar Hotel in Sydney after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. Booked through Wotif as unable to get 2 rooms direct through the hotel as they were fully booked. My parents were after accomodation within their budget & were very impressed with the quality of accomodation & hotel location for the price they paid.(Worked out at approx $150 per night per room, great for Sydney unless you want to stay in a dive!)

They had no complaints what so ever with their rooms which were very clean & spacious. Close to the city centre & all the tourist spots as well as transport. Plenty of places to eat close by.
Would definately book there again!

“A great value city centre hotel”

Best Western Hotel Stellar

Mar 9, 2008

Sidney hotels are quiet expensive, especially around Circular Quay and The Rocks.
The Stellar is situated very well for access to trains and buses, plus its not too far from the main attractions and at a much more affordable price. Only minutes away was the beautiful Anzac memorial and park.
All the staff on the 24 hour reception were very friendly and provided an excellent service. On our last day they locked our luggage away for us so we could sightsee until it was time to catch our flight and we enjoyed the use of the lounge (and the free pastries!) as well as toilet facilities.
The small lounge adjoins a friendly coffee shop which is open during the day and serves good value breakfasts. There is a small bar but we found a nice restaurant and pub just down the street.

Our room was vey clean and quiet spacious, with good cooking facilities if needed. Bathroom was bright and modern and the air conditioning was excellent.
If we return to Sydney we would stay at The Stellar.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom 'penthouse' apartment and were very impressed with the size of it. Huge living area and master bedroom, much bigger than any other apartment I'd stayed in, especially for the price. 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were average size but still generous. Large kitchen with lots of bench space if you like to cook.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and were more than willing to help us find restaurants and hire taxis. You can walk to the CBD, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay and Central Train station from the hotel, and it is around the corner from the Oxford St shopping/clubbing district.

One thing to note is that the 3 bedroom apartment is slightly separate from the rest of the hotel, tacked on the side in a separate building, so you need to go down some stairs to get to it. Also, this apartment seems to have missed out on the renovation, as it the decor was a little dated and not up to the standard of the other guest rooms. For the price though, I still think it is a great value hotel and a good place to stay in Sydney.

We secured a bargain deal through CentralR.com to stay 3 nights at Hotel Stellar. I can't fault the hotel at all. Great location within easy walking distance of all attractions yet hotel was quiet and undisturbing at night. Bed was oh so comfortable, mini bar selection was great, internet access was cheap and fast. Our room was much larger than we were expecting and we asked if we could upgrade to a king sized bed which was no problem and no additional charge. On our return to the hotel each day it was always spotless and beautifully serviced. Staff were UNBELIEVEABLY helpful and friendly and we felt very welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again any time I'm in Sydney.

“Loved this small hotel”

Best Western Hotel Stellar

We travelled to Australia in November 2007 from Canada and stayed 4 nights at the Best Western Hotel Stellar in Sydney prior to taking the 28-day "Around Australia" cruise. We had read the reviews on Trip Advisor and can only add that they were accurate. The Stellar is a very well appointed small boutique hotel. Centrally located - we could walk downtown Sydney in 20 minutes. Near bus stops, walking distance to railway station (train to airport) and restaurants. The rooms are spacious with kitchenette which we didn't need, but it would be a good feature for someone staying longer. The bathroom were all marble and tiles and quite large. The room and bathroom were very clean and new looking. The staff was very helpful and courteous. There is a locker room off the Lobby for storing luggage, if needed and reasonably priced internet access in the Lobby. A small cafeteria adjacent to the Lobby (not own by the hotel) was excellent for a light breakfast. Lovely, very reasonably priced, small hotel that we would recommend highly. A winner in a city that is rather expensive otherwise.
