I stayed at the hotel because of the location and the Frequent Flyer points that one of the major airline advertises. Having read previous reviews, I do agree with most of them, except for the level of service provided.

Overall, I was not very happy with the service provided. The shampoo and conditioner was not provided when I first checked in, and the shower cap was also missing - although they were there on the next day.

It was nothing, however compared with the "courtesy" of the hotel staff, which, I must say, was quite a shame for a hotel with such reputation. It was Friday evening, and I was running late to the airport when I got to the hotel to pick up my bag. The lady on the reception desk asked me quickly (while attending to another customer) what was it that I needed. To that I answered that I needed to collect my bag - however, she didn't let me explain that I was in a hurry. Trying to calm down, I waited until she finished with the other customer. Later as the other customer finished with her enquiry, I quickly apologised and said I was in a hurry to catch up with my flight. She answered with an unfriendly tone that the other customer was also in a hurry (which, I'm sure, was not the case, for she was making an enquiry about a room for a family member). She then dragged my bag towards the door, but left it inside while quite impolitely gestured and make me move inside the reception area to grab my bag. I quickly said "thank you" and left, feeling upset.

It was an unpleasant experience I wouldn't expect anyone else to share.

We stayed here for two nights and then returned for another two nights 5 days later. Its in a good location, less than 5 mins walk from a host of very lively and varied restraunts, and also the main shopping area. The one bedroomed apartments are well planned although the bathroom is small. I was surprised that in an apartment hotel there was no washer or dryer for guest use, but that is a minor niggle. The reception staff are very pleasant.
The pacific website pacificinthotels guarantees the lowest rates, and was certainly cheaper than booking directly with the hotel. I'd stay there again.
