Stayed at the Wipuna for 8 nights in Dec 05 having previously stayed in 2002.

Plus points
- rooms are excellent with comfortable beds. Some colleagues stayed on the 5th floor where the rooms were split level with loft style appartment bedrooms!
- breakfast is excellent (probably the best of the 100 odd hotels i've ever stopped in) but a little pricey at $24 a time.

The minus points are
- poor internet connectivity (dial up only)
- pretty slow service. got in on the saturday night when we arrived and ordered a snack from the bar (we were the only people there). 45 mins later - no food. chased the bar staff and it turned out they forgot to put in the order! service slow at times during breakfast too. front desk service excellent however.
- a few miles from downtown.
there is not too much around the hotel in the way of restaurants and the city is about 8 miles away. it's a $30 to $40 cab ride.

If i was in auckland for a holiday i wouldn't chose this hotel purely for the location, but for a business trip it was perfect.
