“Location and Service Are Tops!”

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Franklin Square

5 of 5 stars
Berkley, Michigan
Jun 2, 2008

We satayed here over memorial weekend and had a great trip. It was an excellect homebase for sightseeing. The service was great and, considering the holiday, I feel we had a good rate $143/night + tax.

+: service, location (metro, white house), clean attractive room, free cookies, pool

-: expensive parking $23/day, charged for local calls, elevators were malfunctioning stopping at the wrong floors (not a big deal)

“Good Location”

My wife and I booked a king, non-smoking room at this Hilton Garden on May 10 & 11. We found the front desk and valet staff to be friendly and helpful and were able to check-in at 10am. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

( This was our first stop on a 14 day road trip. Except for two nights, we stayed at either Hilton Garden or Hampton Inn and it's the first time I wasn't bothered by a sore back after a night or two on a hotel mattress.)

We had a White House tour at 11 am which we made easily since it's only a few blocks away. Most of the major attractions are within walking distance if you're able. We did take a cab to the Lincoln Memorial our second morning. Got there about 8:30 and had it practically to ourselves. Could of had a great picture devoid of people except for a newspaper reading guard standing directly in front of Abe. Had to PhotoShop him out.

Lots of restaurants in the area, we walked to one the first night, took a cab the second night due to the weather. I'll do a separate review on dining.

Overall, an enjoyable visit.

“Location, Location, Location”

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Franklin Square

May 26, 2008

We stayed at this hotel in May 2008. Great location right across the street from a metro stop, easy walking distance to the White House. Room was good size and comfortable, but more importantly very clean and quiet. Room is good for families with young children, has refrig. and microwave. Staff was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

“Clean and great location”

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Franklin Square

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. This is perhaps the cleanest hotel I have stayed in. Everything was spotless. The room was a good size and we took full advantage of the frig, microwave and coffee maker. The location was great. Only a few blocks from the White House and with a Metro station just across the street. Loved the cookies they put out each afternoon.

“Great Stay”

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Franklin Square

Garden State
Apr 24, 2008

We have just returned from three days/two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn. What a pleasant experience we had!
We arrived early than check-in time and were giving a room immediately. The room was slightly small but clean, with microwave, refrigerator, flat screen TV, no noise, comfortable beds with more than enough pillows.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful (provided map, gave an extra key card after checked out because we left something in the room).
The pool is not big, but with warm water and close to the elevators. My daughter and I used it every night.
We haven’t had any meal in the hotel. The cookies every night was a nice touch especially for children.
The location is great! Close to the metro, White House Visitor Center, White House, some Monuments, restaurants, Starbucks, pharmacy…
Overall, for the price we paid (first I booked $179 per night on hotel’s website and after checking that the price went down I was giving a lower rate of $159) we had an exceptional value. We would definitely return to this hotel any day.
