“Great Choice in DC”

Courtyard by Marriott Washington Embassy Row

I just returned from a four night stay at the Courtyard Embassy Row. The hotel is located in a quiet area of the city. The rooms are quite large and very new. They feature the new Marriott beds which are very comfortable. Bathrooms are also large and newly done.

The hotel is located 2 and a half blocks from the Farragut North Metro station. The Dupont Circle Metro is a little further. Both are on the Red Line. The area the hotel is located in is safe to walk in even late at night.

The only negative I can think of is the staff is slightly aloof. There was no remote control in the room on arrival. A call to the front desk promised to send one up but it never came. Also newspaper delivery in the morning was spotty. But overall these concerns were minor.

“Great Location...Pool is Not Useable”

Courtyard by Marriott Washington Embassy Row

Stayed here in early September for 2 night with my teenage son. The location is great and the rooms are clean and quiet. Really great beds but the TV was old and reception was poor. A comfortable walk to everything Dupont circle has to offer and a "same taxi zone "
ride to most attractions. It is great that they have an indoor pool BUT.. it is really un usable. Down in the basement with such a low ceiling and small space to walk around it. The area lacked ventilation and the chlorine smell was so strong that our eyes were tearing afyer 5 minutes. Also, they had these truly weird, huge, straw/stick people sitiing in chairs taking up precious space. We got a great rate online but I heard rooms were going at 3x as much as we paid. A good place to stay if you get a good rate but could really use some services.
