As other people have said this hotel is quite reasonable for D.C. The location is quite nice-- A short 2 block walk to the metro in a residential area. There's a market next to the metro stop and a couple of nice restaurants across the street. The room was pretty much what you would expect for this class of hotel...nothing fancy but serviceable. We stayed in three different hotels on this trip and this hotel had the most comfortable beds/bedding. The computers in the lobby were nice to have (free, unlike the Hyatt we stayed in later in the week.). They were often occupied however. The main downside to the hotel was the staff at the desk. For one thing, there were too few of them, especially at busy times such as late afternoon/evening when people are checking in. Moreover, they were just not very good. Simple requests like "Can I have another blanket?" were answered with the "I'll see what I can do" that lets you know that nothing will be done. And nothing was done.
