We stayed at L'Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington D.C. The hotel had exceptional service and was very relaxing. The deluxe king room was very comforable and very queit. Everything was in walking disance or a short taxi ride away. The front desk had great sense of the city and were able to give us maps of great attrations in D.C. The American Grille has great food. I had the Barbecued Pork Tenderloin and it was fantastic. Had a great time watching the NCAA basketball game at Foggy Brew Pub. The Pub had a great selection of beer. The on site parking was very accessible and resonabily priced as well. Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

The staff at this hotel was friendly, helpful, and easy to get along with. The rooftop pool was great (Our room had a door right outside to it!) and it the Metro was right in the basement of the hotel!! Definitely check out the little pub downstairs, the the food was good and they mix a great amaretto sour. I would stay here again.

We stayed at L'Enfant Plaza for four nights, Sept. 10-14, and had a great time. We flew into Reagan National Airport and took the Metro directly to the hotel. It couldn't have been easier or more convenient. The Metro is directly under the hotel so it made for a very easy and inexpensive way to get around D.C. The Washington Monument and Air & Space Museum are within walking distance, so that was nice, too. As for the hotel itself, the lobby area is quite nice, very elegant, and has a Starbucks, a gift shop, etc., right in the lobby. But the interior hallways and rooms are definitely in need of an update. We saw a couple of areas where the edges of the wallpaper in the hallway were starting to peel up, and the carpeting needs to be replaced. Our room was clean and housekeeping did a great job, so no problems in that regard. The swimming pool is big and was clean. Our 10 year old son loved swimming in it. They have a hotel person on duty at the pool at all times and you're provided towels at the pool so you don't have to use your room towels. The pool in the summer is outside and unheated, and in the fall they start heating it and cover it with a bubble-like dome. The mall under the hotel is called La Promenade and had very limited hours, but the CVS Drugstore was open even when the other stores were closed. The CVS had reasonably priced soda, juice, chocolate milk, granola bars, Hostess donuts, chips, and other snacks which was very convenient. My bottom line opinion is that if you're looking for a hotel with close proximity to the sites and very easy Metro access, this hotel can't be beat. If you're looking for a well-maintained hotel and cosmetic appearance of the room is important to you, you should probably select a different hotel. For us it worked out well and we had no complaints. We had a great time!

Everything was beyond our expectations. Everyone we encountered during our stay was helpful, polite & friendly. We had no idea DC could be so family friendly. We will definitely be back & have already reccommended it to family members who will be traveling to DC soon.
