“Decent Hotel for a Large Family, Could Use Some Improvements”

Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim at Disneyland Resort

My favorite part about this hotel was the children's suite. There was a bunkbed in a separate room that stayed nice and dark and seemed to block sound nicely for my 5 and 8 year old. However, there is not a shuttle directly to Disneyland and it ended up being a long walk for the little ones. We did discover it was only around $6 for a taxi each way, which we ended up doing. The hotel offered a shuttle for $3 per adult from their nearby Marriott, which was a bit of a hike and ended up being more expensive than the taxis. Either there were a ton of rude families staying this week or the walls are paper thin. I could not believe how loud it was in the mornings! But on another plus side, the beds were really nice/comfortable and there were two t.v.s - one in the children's room and one in the main room. The panini restraunt on the property was really tastey but the continential breakfast was a total rip off - way too expensive for not a whole lot of choices. The sink was located in the bathroom, which was a pain with four adults sharing the room. I would recommend anyone staying in Anaheim for Disneyland stay in one of the hotels across the street from the park or spend the extra money to stay right in one of the Disney hotels.

“Great location for a Conference, not the best hotel/motel”

It’s a comfortable hotel relatively new. Hotel was over booked and I was placed in Handicap accessible room, which was anything but that. I was locked out of my bathroom and was told this happens all the time. I felt for a handicap accessible (as well as a normal room) there should have been more light switches. It was very dark and you had to walk all the way across the room to turn on a light. I was attending a conference so location was great. The staff was very good, but the room was satisfactory.

“Decent Hotel/Value”

I booked this hotel in my CRS system myself as I am a travel agent. Upon arrival, there weren't any rooms available. They allowed us to stow our luggage so we could go to the parks in the meantime. When we checked in late that night, we were in room 314. They also tried to charge me for daily parking. However, in my system, this hotel lists free surface parking, so they kindly removed this from my invoice. This King Kids Suite we were in was directly across from the elevator. I was very leary about this for noise. The noise was very minimal most of the time from passing traffic. However, it seems that the walls/ceilings were hollow! We could hear everything beside and above us. It caused many problems for sleeping as noise from the people in the room above us sounded like a herd of elephants constantly stomping into the wee hours. I am convinced they were walking normally and the sounds just carried. I agree with an earlier post in that the TV in the Kids suite is on the same wall as the bunk beds, so they are forced to sit on sofa to view the TV. Their buffet breakfast is good as well. We also noticed hair in the bathroom from previous guests....

The hotel is about a 1.5 block walk to the Marriott where you catch the ART shuttle. We found service to be fairly quick, always packed, but they fit as many on as humanly possible each time. I've seen this hotel listed as 2 blocks from Disneyland. Either they have very long blocks in CA or they are counting the distance to the actual property and not to an entrance point to the park. I would not have wanted to push a stroller the .9 miles walk to the entrance to the parks in the early morning or late night....

Overall, I'd say this is a fairly clean property at a good location. The staff could use some "friendly" lessons from the CM at Disneyland! ;)

“One of our best hotel experiences”

Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim at Disneyland Resort

Nov 19, 2007

We just returned home from a 5 day trip to Disneyland where we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Disneyland. It was booked as part of a Costco package. Since we were visiting Disneyland for our daughters birthdays (8 and 3) I called ahead of time to see if they could do anything for them. We arrived to 2 pink Mickey ears with their names embroidered on the back, 2 small boxes of See's candy and a card from the hotel wishing them a happy birthday.

The rooms were nice with comfortable beds, a refigerator, coffee pot and FREE wireless internet (which was nice to check schedules, etc). We had an air mattress that we brought with us. After the first nite, we came back to the hotel to find that the housekeeping staff had made it up with a set of sheets and a pillow. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating whether it was 630 in the morning or midnight.

The breakfast buffet was great for the price of $11 for adults and $6 for kids 4-12. Omelets, waffles, cereal, breads, bacon, sausage, potatoes, coffee, OJ, milk, etc. Definitely worth the price. Convenient and again, very friendly staff.

Transportation to Disneyland was provided through the ART. For $8 (10+) we had unlimited travel on the Anaheim Rapid Transit for 3 days. The nearest bus stop was a short walk between the hotel and the Marriott hotel. The hotel was close enough to walk to/from Disneyland...but why for that price. Buses ran about every 20 mins with a lunch break of about 1.5 hrs in the middle of the day. Last bus ran 30 mins after park closed.

We had a wonderful experience here and would definitely stay here again in the future.

“Just o.k”

My family and I just returned from our four night stay at the courtyard. We went there for our Disneyland vacation and found it to be just o.k. The hotel lobby and restaurant were nice and clean. Our room appeared to be clean until you when in the bathroom there was hair on the floor from the previous guest. There was no shuttle and the walk to the marriott to catch ART got old after the second day. My sister found a hug bug in her shoe and when she told management they said ok they would send someone over to take a look and never did we just flushed it. Over all I dont think I would stay again. Next time I'll try somewhere else.
