“Good location but Noisy at night”

Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

3 of 5 stars
California

Pros:
We booked a kids suite which was a nice set up for 2 adults and 3 kids. The adjoining kids room had a bunk bed and pull out sofa, a good size closet, and it's own TV.
The room was very clean and the location of the hotel, at corner of Katella and Harbor , is about two long blocks to Disney entrance on Harbor. There is a 7-11 store and ABC store next to the hotel-very convenient for sunscreen and snack purchases. The pool was reasonably clean. Yes the hot tub was foamy - I didn't know this was a bad sign as other reviewers mentioned...oh well!
Breakfast was better than I expected (cold boiled eggs, variety of toasts and donuts/pastry, bananas/oranges, corn flakes, fruit loops, oatmeal, yogurt, cottage cheese, milk, coffee and juices(although they did run out of OJ two of the mornings).
Cons:
Breakfast was very crowded; admittedly it was Easter break week and there were lots of families.
The sofa bed was very thin and you could feel the bars in it. An adult could have never slept comfortably in it. Luckily my 6 year old daughter is small and light and slept "between" the bars.
My husband and I were aware of a high pitched and cycling on / off mechanical noise at night - whether it was the AC on the roof of hotel, the elevator, or the ice machine or coin op washers next door I can't say. It really interrupted our sleep. For that reason alone my husband won't stay there again. If you are a heavy sleeper it might not disturb you.

“Great Hotel, Great Staff”

Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

5 of 5 stars
Atlanta, Georgia

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in early March. There was 8 of us so we stayed in the Kalahari suite - it was amazing. Its a long suite with 4 queen beds and two bathrooms, plus the rooms both close up for privacy. The hotel restaurants were convenient, staff was friendly and the hotel is within minutes to the Disneyland Resort. An added bonus is that they have free continental breakfast in the morning. I will definately be coming back!

“Excellent Hotel , Excellent Service ,Excellent Staff.”

Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

Mar 19, 2008

Myself and family have been staying at the Desert Palms Hotel & Suites since 1988.we have yet to miss a year. There has been many changes thru the years ,far to many to mention, yet the service has always remained EXCELLENT.We have always delt with a lovely lady named Shirley, she is the epitome of customer service. On more then one occasion Shirley has phoned the front desk to ensure we have arrived safely and given the right room, all this when she herself was on holidays.Where could one expect service like this.We as a family have many wonderful memories of Southern California ,most would be centered around our accommodation, its location, ambience, and the incredible staff, that has been assembled, from management to maintenance.End result being a service that is

PAR EXCELLENCE.

“Great, for sure!”

Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

Mar 13, 2008

My 2 year old daughter and I went up to Disneyland for 2 days and I have to say, the hotel was PERFECT! All the staff I came across were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They were gracious and absolutely FABULOUS! We felt very comfortable. In fact, even the housekeeoing boiys on our floor were pleasant, even though they could speak much english. We were lucky enough to see the fireworks from our room. Even our swim in the pool was wonderful. I've worked for more than 10 years in customer service and I know great service when I see it.

We will be back FOR SURE!

“Loved the service at the Desert Palms”

Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

Mar 6, 2008

We selected this hotel simply because of its convenient location--right across the street from the Anaheim Convention Center where we would be attending a 3-day conference. Our group booked a group of 14 rooms and were very pleasantly suprized by the service we received. Roshni Patel, the Sales and Meeting Events manager, was so helpful, always going out of her way to accomodate our needs and make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
