Good Points - Rooms were huge (i had a twin with 2 doubles), good location for tour departures, cheap and close to resturants.
Bad - One pillow had a stain on it which was obviously blood (rank), the hotel staff were not helpful and quite rude when asked a question, the hotel food is revolting, expensive internet access and fairly poor decor (not that that bothered me - it's a cheap hotel). There are hundreds of hotels in Anaheim and i'd suggest booking elsewhere - especially if you are from another country and you are used to friendly, helpful staff

“The best value for your money”

Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites

Just got back from a magical Disneyland vacation. Weeks of searching led me to Anaheim Plaza.

My comments :

1. Very close to Disneyland entrance. You can park at the hotel and take a leisure walk for about 5 minutes.
2. Very fast check-in and out. Reservation and front desk staff
are very accomodating.
3. Clean bathroom.
4. Clean sheets.
5. After a hot day in the sun, the swimming pool is a definite plus.
6. The housekeeping crew doesn't speak English. Call the front desk if you want something.
7. The rooms have a funky smell at first. It is probably the sanitizing stuff they used to clean the bathroom. You'll get used to it.
8. Unbelievable hotel rates. I'm a sale shopper. I really got a good price for the family suite.

Remember this is not a 5 star hotel. So do not expect a 5 star ambience. This place is good for bargain hunters like me. I got my money's worth. Satisfaction level rating 1-5, I'll give this hotel a 5 (highest).

“if you are using the hotel for sleeping only”

Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites

If budget price and convenience is what you are looking for, the Anaheim Plaza is great! If it's luxury and you're wanting to spend time in your hotel, you will pay double the price for other hotels for the same location. We went with the intention of spending all our time at Disneyland, the hotel was just for showering and sleeping. The rooms are big and clean. As other reviewers have noted, the towels are like sandpaper but they did the job and dried you. The A/C was not super cold, but we were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was not strong, but did the job. The hotel is old and worn looking but who cares, we got a good night's sleep, the beds were comfortable, we felt secure and the staff were all very nice. And it was not noisy as others have complained.
Be aware that the Anaheim Plaza charges $4 a day for parking, cheaper than $12 a day for Disneyland parking. They have an excellent breakfast buffet for $10 a person which we did one morning when we were in a hurry but there's a Denny's and IHOP a couple doors down for a cheaper breakfast. There's also a Tony Romo's and an all you can eat buffet place although we did not try either one.
The biggest advantage of Anaheim Plaza is the 5-10 minute walk. We go every year and I book hotels that are $100 or less because we don't spend any time in them but for that price I've always had to find hotels within a short driving distance. But after a long day and tired feet, it was SO wonderful to be able to just walk to the hotel instead of waiting in another long line for the parking lot tram, then walking to your car, then waiting in traffic.

    • Liked — short walking distance to Disneyland
    • Disliked — old looking

“Budget Hotel Fills the Need”

Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites

Jun 19, 2008

This hotel is "just" o.k. and meets some of my minimum requirements for a budget hotel. We stayed there before and were familiar with the layout.

The a/c was feeble but fortunately it was cool outside and we were able to leave the 2nd floor window open.

My pet peeve for any hotel is the carpet. I like to walk on the floor in my bare feet without being concerned about picking up and exotic disease. This carpet was was a C- and looked stained. My daughter walked a bit on the floor and her feet darkened a few shades. But on the bright side it didn't smell! The beds were o.k. and generally clean.

The staff was great and allowed me to park our car in their lot when we arrived very early in the morning for our stay in Disneyland.

This is a budget hotel within walking distance of Disneyland and would book again if necessary.

“Anaheim Plaza Great Bargain”

Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites

4 of 5 stars
Simi Valley, CA
Jun 18, 2008

My family stayed at the Anaheim Plaza for 2 nights in June, 2008. The positives: the room was large (with 2 queen beds), quiet, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The pool was great: olympic size! The landscaping and lobby were very nice. They have a breakfast buffet that was nice: $10 each for adults and kids eat free. All service staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a short 5 or 10 minute walk to Disneyland.
The negatives were minor: their towels are very bad: thin, not absorbent and not very soft. There are not microwaves in the regular rooms; only in the suites (although there is a refrigerator). Overall, the Anaheim Plaza was a great bargain at $63 a night. We would stay there again!
