“the perfect place to stay”

I cannot use enough adjectives to describe this wonderful riad.
We stayed at Riad Ariha after staying 9 days with Moroccan friends, and it truly felt like we were still staying with friends. The owners Barbara and Bader could not have been more welcoming to me and my eight year old twins, encouraging them to splash in the plunge pool and make themselves at home everywhere. Amina and the rest of the staff were also terrific and incredible helpful in all ways. We booked a day trip into the country with the driver often used by the riad and had an wonderful day in the Atlas Mountains. The riad also helped arrange for a staff person to put henna on my girls, who were nervous to have it done on the street. I had a wonderful massage in my room and all their recommendations for sightseeing and meals were perfect. We also ate the most delicious meal we had in Marrakesh, truly fantastic, in the riad.
The fact that the riad is in a real neighborhood is a wonderful plus. We had no trouble finding our way back and forth (the streets that cars cannot travel are very well marked), taxis were cheap, and we often really enjoyed the walks. We experienced none of the trouble with young boys wanting money to show us the way that others have described. We actually felt like regulars in the neighborhood by the time we left--shopkeepers called greetings and street cats waited for our leftovers. The beauty of staying in a real neighborhood is that people do not hassle you at all. The riad itself is also beautifully restored and decorated.

I would recommend this property to anyone.

“wonderful, to put it mildly”

Riad Ariha

our 4 night stay at riad ariha was amazing. for the price it was an amazing piece of luxury at a low price for the backpacking type. After camping across europe we (young couple) wanted to spend the few extra bucks in morocco for some luxury and riad ariha provided it excellently.

everything was perfect. the room was bright, very clean, with air conditioning which was useful considering it was close to 50 degrees C outside each day and the plunge pool really let you cool down after walking the medina all day.

it's set in a neighbourhood where real moroccans live but a short walk into the heart of the medina and a 20 min walk or 5 min cab to the main square.

The staff were excellent. The owners were amazingly helpful as were the staff who always had a smile on their faces and nothing was ever too much fun.

i think the riad was the best thing about our stay in marrakesh.

Also there is a purfume store just up the road, be sure to check it out the man does the best home made imitations of over 150 name purfumes and they smell exactly the same and cost about 3 bucks.

if your going to marrakesh Riad Ariah is a great place to stay, the owners are opening another riad soon too so if you can't get in here try that one, i bet it will be just as good.

Aaah lovely riad ariha!!! Amazing little riad tucked away in the heart of the medina, but within easy walking distance to the souks & the djemna el fna once you get your bearings. Beautiful clean rooms, very helpful staff, great breakfast.........a little slice of moroccan heaven, I'd highly recommend it.

“Riad Ariha - An oasis of class”

Riad Ariha

Riad Ariha - A beautiful, great value riad which is incredibly hospitable and features kind, professional, efficient service.

I felt truly at home there. I've been lucky enough to stay at many, many hotels all over the world ranging from grotty English bed & breakfasts to very smart Indian Ocean hotels and I've never felt more welcome or comfortable. Not just the physical comfort of the rooms and courtyard but the fantastically relaxed feel of the place which never compromised the quality or discretion of the staff. The generous advice on offer in what is a baffling place for the first-time visitor was priceless and consistently reliable.

The evening meals, which they make on request, were the best I had in Morocco and to top it all, the place has been beautifully restored in a classy, stylish way with pleasing attention to detail and is lovingly maintained and faultlessly clean.

“Oasis of Calm”

Riad Ariha

Apr 13, 2008

A lovely riad well-located in the north of the old city, conveniently close to the centre but away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were exceptional; they were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Rooms were scrupulously clean and the rooftop terrace was a great place to relax in the evening. Bedroom was a little small but well laid out and the bathroom was spacious. A calm and soothing haven to return to after a day in the busyness of Marrakech.
