I might as well go over the bad points first. 5 of us stayed there 7 nights in mid July 2008. The main bad point is No 1)
BAD POINTS :
1) Our money was STOLEN !! I'm only going to go through this bad point in terms of facts, I can't/won't accuse anyone as I dont have the proof who it was but I do have the right to speak of what happened. On the first day, the Riad gave us all the same combination to the safes that were in our rooms. We hired 3 different rooms. 2 doubles and 1 single, each with a separate safe. We all bought around 30 extra Euros than the price quoted by the Riad owners and all of us assumed that the safes were safe and so we placed all our Euros in separate mini bags and in our relevant safes. When it came to payment morning (last day of our stay), we all checked and had 20 less Euros EACH !! We know we haven't spent it as we haven't touched those Euros as we worked with converting ONLY pounds to Dirhams the whole trip. If only 1 of us had 20 Euros missing, then it could have been misplaced, but not all 5 of us so it definitely was stolen from the safe !!! When we explained it to David, all he would say is "C'est impossible" and that only the Riad owners know the safe combination. Neither of the Riad owners asked us any questions or made any attempt to investigate and instead just fobbed us off. I was very surprised as the reviews were so good but equally, I would not recommend the place when I don't trust them with my money.
2) On 1st day, we were told breakfast would be different everyday, it wasnt. We stayed there 7 days, 5 of them the breakfast was exactly the same and that got really annoying + boring
3) Both Riad owners speak very little english so it does get bit annoying to communicate with them
4) Please do yourselves a favour and don't book your daytrips from these guys, they overcharge, and only provide prices for a driver ie you gotta hide a SEPARATE guide when you get there !!
5) Also, a note of warning, this was prob more our mistake but their Tagine costs 220Dhs (About £15). As we wanted 1 Tagine between 3 people, we assumed it'd be a £5 each (as you'd expect in UK) but instead the Riad said the prices were per person so we'd still have to pay £15 each ie we ended up having to pay £45 in total !!
GOOD POINTS :
1) They seemed friendly, especially Rashid, khatija and the cleaner
2) The place was clean
3) The broken shower head was eventually fixed
4) It has a small pool where either you can go fully in or just as easily put your feet in

Since 2 years that we expoitons Riad Aubrac, nobody ever has been stolen money or personal business, as owners of the Riad we are very vigilant at this level and we reiterate that "it is impossible to steal Riad the Aubrac "
We affirmative!
5 For these young clients, just time to pay their bill, they were missing each, the exact sum of 20 euro Bizarre!
For the price of tajine, it has been specified during the ordering and over rates are quoted in rooms and that lounge, that is the price per person and not by tajine ... logic!
We are french and we reconnaisons that our English is not perfect, however, we strive to better communicate and it works well!! except with them, bizarre!!
For excursions the price is announced at the time of booking (a discount has already been granted!) When the driver he acts as a guide during the journey, they wanted to place a guide for Tracking, logic whatsoever to supplement !!
We love our job and we're working hard every day, as best possible, to host our guests in our Riad, so that all go back to Friends! (see others reviews ....)
Accusing a house theft is very serious, especially when it is in the sole purpose to try not to pay the asking price and agreed upon departure. We felt as well, given their behaviour throughout their stay.
Kindly
The direction of Riad Aubrac
