My husband and parents arrived back in Melbourne last night, after 6 nights in Koh Samui and 5 nights in Bangkok (at the Dusit). This is my second visit to the Dusit (my husband and I were their a year ago) and we came back, because we had a fantastic expereince last time....
And we had another FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE.
We booked 2 suites (which are sensational - very large and decadent) and we were allowed access to the Dusit Club for pre dinnner drinks and canapes. And for an extra $30 or so Australian Dollars per night, I would highly recommend this type of upgrade.
The Thai Restaurant is brilliant (we ate their twice and the service is impeccable). The location is amazing (only a minute to the sky train - so we shop, shop, shopped!) And only a very short cab ride to the Oriental (for an indulgent night out) and the Banyan Tree (for an amazing drink on the roof top bar). I find this hotel location to be perfect. Its a more quiet area (if there is such a thing in Bangkok!!!), compared to the many other hotels on Sukhmumvit Road (I hope I spelt it right!)
Even with a Lions Club Mega Conference starting at the hotel, we never felt 'crowded' in this hotel.
The breakfast is amazing (so much to choose from) and when we spent an afternoon at the pool, the service was impeccable.
An absolutely fantastic experience all round.....
