Cooking School review...

On December 30, 2005, our family of 4 had a wonderful day of cooking classes with Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School. It was recommended in a couple of travel books and we thoroughly examined their website before booking the class on-line. It was a fun-filled informative day at the Wok Restaurant. The 3 instructors spoke English well and were humorous with their explanations. Our vegetable carving and four course meal all tasted better than we expected-- thanks to the helpful instructors. Our 14 year son was able to keep up and enjoyed himself more than he wanted to admit.

The format was great: classroom instruction/demonstration, followed by each student going to their personal cooking station, the instructor repeating preparation and cooking instructions while students prepared their food. From soup to spring rolls to curry to sticky rice-- somehow we cooked delicious food. Ingredients were all very fresh and the facilities extremely clean.

An added bonus that we didn't expect-- they picked us up from our hotel (River View Lodge--awesome place) and returned us at the end of the course at no charge!

Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School offers different courses each day. One gentleman in our class was attending all of them, plus advanced cooking instruction afterwards.
