This was our first hotel on arrival in vietnam and our last on departure. Of the eight hotels we stayed in this was without doubt the accomadation highlight of our trip.Chanh is just an incredible person at making his guests feel at home.He is available at any time for anybody and still manages to get all those little things done to make this a great hotel.But is not all about chanh,the staff are also terrific.

My wife and I stayed at the BD Hotel on our last leg of our trip through VN. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very basic but exactly what we expected and what was described when we booked it. The hotel is a backpacker's hotel but we have absolutely no complaints. The location was down a small, quiet side street across the street from a nice park and close to the huge Ben Thanh marketplace. If you’re looking for basic lodging at a good value with nice staff the BD Hotel is as good as any.

Everyone has pretty much said it all. An awesome and inexspensive place to say, (stayed there 4 days ago).

Chanh is definitely 'the man' and he makes everything possible and easy. Great breakfast, all incredibly clean and in the backpackers area close to shops that we found FAR better than the markets.
We stayed in some really classy hotels in Vietnam (and fairly exspensive) but thought this guesthouse matched them easily overall

I stayed at Bich Duyen for two months last year while I was in HCMC adopting a child. I went early and went on several tours that were arranged by Chanh. My mother traveled with me--we got the outside room on the second floor so she wouldn't have as many steps to climb. The staff was fantastic--after I finally picked up my new son the cleaning girls were very attentive to him. Chanh was always helpful, carrying luggage or getting whatever information we needed. We took two weeks and traveled to Laos and Cambodia and he kept our bigger luggage pieces. The place is wonderful! I hope to return when my son is older, hopefully Chanh will still be there.
