My wife and I just returned from Jerusalem and we stayed at the Notre Dame Center. The building is quite dramatic from the outside but the rooms are a bit spartan. The bed mattress was quite thin as were the pillows. There was no TV nor amenities like a coffee maker. The traveler needs to know that the place caters to pilgrims, and not just Catholics although it flies the Vatican flag. There are places for contemplation and various meetings. But if one is after location, this is a very good hotel. It is literally across the street from one of the gates of the Old City (New Gate). The staff is quite helpful and friendly and the breakfast is more than adequate. More appropriate for the older set.
