The hotel is well situated just off TA's beachfront area. Although the building looks very 1970's, the inside is completely modernised. The room was clean and had all the bits and bobs - an LCD tv, aircon, a fridge for our use, a great clean and shiny bathroom, etc. There was also a safe in the cupboard which is nice for travel documents.
Breakfast was a sizeable affair and served at very flexible hours. The door staff and desk staff were very helpful.
The location is good, but not super fantastic. It's not the prettiest part of town to look at, but it's not dirty or scummy - just nothing stands out. It's a bit further south than most of the major hotels. It's one road back from the beachfront - which is fine, about a 3 minute walk to the beach so no problems. It's also about a 3 minute walk to the beginning of Allenby St so good for the shoppers. So good, but not super-fantastic.
Basically, for the rate we paid, I think we had a great blend of comfort and location.
My only gripe is that I would've preferred a non-smoking room which was requested via Accor's website but not assigned to me.
