I am not sure this even qualifies as a three-star. First, the entire hotel, save the small banquet room section renovated after the terrorist blast a few years ago, is seedy and reeks of cheap air freshener. The sheets are so worn they are rough and nubby-on the up side, it may be a cheap alternative to spa exfoliation. Since the tour program booked us in this as a four-to-five star hotel, we had no choice to change, but I did upgrade. Again, stinky room, worn furnishings, cheap sheets, hard beds, lumpy pillows, broken window. One and one-half restaurants--although we only saw 20 people in the "restaurant" we were informed there were too many people for the restaurant to honor their menu and instead there was a buffet, or a small snacky menu at the bar. Turns out it's the same buffet left over from breakfast and lunch--hence a positively nightmarish experience with food poisoning, which ruined several tour days for me. On the up side,I lost four pounds, but it was a painful experience. Despite the "royal " suite upgrade, there were no amenities as promised-no exec lounge, no libations, zip, except a bigger room and bigger bill. Hotel also advertised drink specials which were not honored and an early continental breakfast and wake up call, which also never happened. If this hotel ever had four stars, I suspect it was because someone swatted a fly or two in a serendipitous spot.

“Not a Five stars Hotel......”

Radisson SAS Hotel Amman

I stayed 4 nights in Radisson SAS Amman in February 2008. The Hotel is sure not as you can expect from a 5 stars hotel, furnitures were of a 3 stars hotel and the hotel need to be refurbished as soon as possible. For the last night we were upgraded to a room on the 5th Floor which was really better than the room of the 2nd Floor were we stayed for the first three nights. The staff is friendly especially in the Wing Club Bar. If you look for a 5 stars in Amman dont book in Radisson SAS!

“Don't Look Below the Surface”

Radisson SAS Hotel Amman

4 of 5 stars
Los Angeles, CA

Here's a hotel that has seen better days. It isn't 5-stars to be sure
-- 3.5 perhaps. The staff quality ranges from overly attentive to mildly indifferent, depending upon whether you're dealing with the security personnel or the restaurant staff. Radisson doesn't actually manage this property anymore. Room quality is uneven -- English television, high speed internet, solid (almost too solid) beds, but shabby carpeting, less-than-sparking bathroom, and a phenomenally overpriced mini-bar (even by mini-bar standards). The location leaves something to be desired -- there's little in the immediate area worth going to. If you have the means for this kind of hotel, you're better served looking elsewhere.
