Whe returned from Muscat 2 days a go. The city was excellent and it worth the visit. Probably will return here!
The only thing that we didin't like, was our hotel.
We stay 1 night at the Ruwi hotel, and was enough!
We pay for a double room (reservation by phone, at the same day in the morning)45 omr, its meen almost 90 euros.
The hotel lobbi smell....something wet, but the room was confortable and..ok! Nothing special..... if you dont want take a shower, because the bathroom cleaness was just passable. But it was only for one night and we said "ok!"
At night, during our sleep, someone knocked the door, but i didnt wake up. Suddenly i heard my husband, yell :" Who are you??...get out of our room!!" and someone whacked the door. We had a bolt in the door, and he couldn't go in the room anyway, but he try!! After 5 minutes, called us from the reception and asked again and again, if we asked room service, and something with a spoon and a fork!!
(A room-boy probably confused room's numbers, but when no one responsed, desided to get in!!)
We said again and again that we didn't ask anything!!
Early in the morning (7.30am i think!), they start again knock our door, without say nothing. My hasband scream to go away right now. They stoped, and never found out who it was!!
At 8.30am we done the check out, and i said all this things in the receptionists, very very nicely. They said NOTHING!! Said something in arabic between them, but NOTHING to me!! Not even a sorry!!!!
NOTHING! DONT EVEN A WORD!!
But we were in vacation....anyway...
And finaly, we take the - included in room price - breakfast, and it was mediocre. That we say "Just eat something to start the day"!
I would not stay for more than one night there, but it wasn't so bad, to destroy my vacations.
The good things: It's easy to find out the hotel, because its located in Ruwi street, in Ruwi district, the hotel has a parking, and in this price i don't know if you can find something better.
