We stayed at the Voyager beach resort from the 14th- 25th of sep 2008. We all had a fantastic holiday, after a long day traveling we were greated with hot towels, and drinks, there was a short dely getting to our room, but we had a sea view room which was unexpected but fantastic we look straight out over the Indian ocean. We went on an all inclusive basis, we did get caught out a couple of times, such as we were offered lattaies in the afternoon whist sunbathing by the pool, then we were given a bill, but you learn quickly what is included in the all inclusive drinks and food. We travelled with a 7 & 5 year old, they had a fantastic time, i was unsure weather to leave them in the Adventurers club, but we need not have woried, they were the only children at the resort most of the time and asked to go to the club on a daily basis, going swimming, trips to the water park, painting ,t shirt painting, watching movies, going to the beach, they even chose the club over snorkiling with us one afternoon. All the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the place has a real homely feel to it and i want to go back already. The food is great, although sometimes repeatative, but you will never go hungry. There is evening entertainment most nigts and the animation team are fantastic. There are also plenty of trips to go on, we did the Mombasa city tour, dinner on the Tamarid dow, Haller Park, snorkling at the coral gardens, we had already been on safari, but there are plenty of safaris to book whisly staying at voyger. There is a shop to by toliletries, gifts ect, but it is a little over priced and there is a Nako mat super market a short walk or taxi drive that is better priced. There is a laundry service, we took travel wash, but we could have done with a travel iron. The hotel is right on the beach, there are the beach boys down there who can be a pain, but dont let it put you off going to the beach, there are 3 pools, loads of loungers, and plenty of people around to help with any needs. I wounld recommend voyager to everyone, many of the people we met had been previousyto the hotel, one couple even returned to get married at the resort. Loads to do, snorkling, pedal boats, wind surfing, diving, lounging, swimming arobics.
