We just returned from 2 night stay at the Sheraton Hotel

We stayed in a room overlooking the Harbour, on the 14th floor. I would definitely recommend staying on higher floors as you can escape the noise from the traffic and the construction. The view of the harbour and the evening light show made this hotel well worth it.

The hotel is also in a great location - across from several shopping malls and close to the Intercontinental and the Peninsula, both of which have award winning restaurants.

We only ate breakfast at the hotel, which was an incredible buffet. Food was great but more importantly, the selection was exceptional. One note was that we are starwood members and were told the breakfast was free, however, when we checked out, we learned that only the continental part was free - which was misleading.

We did vist the gym which was very small, especially for a hotel of this size. My partner had a massage and said it was great.

Overall, HK is a great city and this is good hotel to visit.

I was in Hong Kong on business for 3 days and stayed at the Sheraton Hotel. The service was good overal and the room was clean and comfortable.

I had a great sleep every night. The bed was comfy and the pillow is one of the best i've laid my head on.

We stayed at the Sheraton, Hong Kong for 2 weeks in September '06 for
our honeymoon and as far as we're concerned we couldn't have picked a better Hong Kong hotel. The hotel and room were clean and beautifully designed and decorated. We were given a harbour view room
and sent flowers and fruit baskets (who says theres no advantages to getting married). The location was great, perfect for getting around Tsim Sha Tsui and within easy walking distance of the ferry terminal for getting across to Hong Kong Island itself.

The staff were friendly and polite, giving an extra room key when I locked myself out of the room without any hassle.

On feature which did impress me, which I think all hotels should have
(seems petty and small but I'm mentioning it anyway), rather than a
'Do not disturb/Please make up my room sign' which you have to put on
the door and which can easily be flipped over by someone playing a prank (a similar thing happend to us in another hotel when someone altered our breakfast order) they have switches inside the room with illuminate 'Do not disturb' or 'Please make up my room' lights by your door, you even get a doorbell! Small I know, but it impressed me.

Our room was spacious, the bathroom had a walk-in shower, separate bath and window between the bedroom and bathroom (don't worry there's
a blind). There's a speaker in the bathroom too so you can hear the tv. A wide range of any toiletries you might need is provided... including toothbrushes!!! The wardrobe was very spacious and contained a safe for valubles. The TV was large (but not LCD.. but so what?) with great reception.

The hotel is eco-friendly (or as eco friendly as the guest that stays
there) allowing you to choose whether your sheets and towels are changed or just tidied up for you, which is great as I've always thought changing clean bedsheets and towels was a waste. Theres a great selection of English-language channels in the room and an English-language local newspaper - The South China Morning Post - is delivered each day.

We can't comment on the food at the hotel as we tend to prefer to venture out and try the local cuisine (Hotel food can be a bit
'safe' and westernised)... and as your in Hong Kong theres no shortage of delicious and cheap food around... If you've never tried
'everyday' chinese cuisine before (I'm not talking chicken in black bean sauce from Mr Wongs here) be adventurous, try something new, you'll be well rewarded. We took the upgrade to a Deluxe Harbour View Room and didn’t regret it for a moment. Fantastic view from a room that was generous sized by any standard – and rooms in HK can be on the small side. Hotel has reasonable outside space on he roof and is ideally positioned for Nathan Road shopping, the MRT or Star Ferry to Central.

FOOD
Great choice at breakfast – you can order speciality coffees and there are two fruit smoothies each day. Hotel restaurants are predictably pricey – we ate in “Zen Casual Dining” on the top floor once. It’s tapas size bites of food, which means the bill soon rattles up! Much better to go to the Mask of Si Chuen that is just round the corner for spicy Chinese food at a great price!

BAR
The Sky Lounge was generally quiet and has a great view of the harbour – however you get a much better view (and great cocktails) from the Intercontinental lobby bar which is just over the road and can be reached via an underground link from level 3 of the hotel’s shopping mall.

POOL
Small but serviceable. Decent number of sun-loungers considering it’s a rooftop in HK.
