Yeah great hotel, i have stayed here many times while in Singapore, its not located in the best spot but not to far from Orchard Rd. The hotel is getting a bit dates of late but is still 4star and at the right price it really is a nice place to stay, Beds (most important) thing are really good, (not Sheraton sweet sleeper) but they are still very good. Buffet breakfast is wonderful, really is one of the best you get in hotels. Staff generally are well experienced and never had a problem with them or the rooms.

Major construction project right next door. They work 0700-2100 and the noise is terrible. They do not tell you this at check in. If you need to sleep between 0700-2100 choose another location.

We stayed 1 night on the 10th floor in a standard room. Reading some of the other reviews here, I was a bit worried as I am very picky, and a lot of reviews said it was very worn out.

The reception, hall, restaurants etc are very fresh and nice, rooms are also nice. However, I agree that the wall to wall carpets could enjoy a make-over, but overall it seemed fresh and nice.

Walking distance to Orchard Road. Appr. 4 Sin Dollar to Orchard Road by taxi. Breakfast buffet is also ok. I would rate it by singapore standards as a 4+ star hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights stopping over in Singapore on a trip to the Middle and Far East. The rooms and public areas are getting a bit dated and are no longer any comparison to some of the new or more recently upgraded properties. But what did impress us was the very friendly and attentive service we experienced everywhere in the hotel, right from the minute we entered through to breakfast and maid service. Tis certainly did make the difference. With the convenient MRT station across the street you are minutes from anywhere on the island and I can recommend this hotel to anyone looking fo a convenient and friendly spot, whether for business or pleasure.
