“A very relaxing week!”

Three Corners Palmyra Resort

Jun 4, 2008

I read the reviews before booking, wasn't put off by any of them, and have now returned after spending a week. The hotel is a bit isolated as this part of Sharm is still undergoing lots of building work. Having said that, the hotel's free shuttle bus certainly made up for this by providing transportation to and from the beach during the day, and to the main shopping areas in the evenings. Lovely staff, lovely accommodation, very well kept. My only complaints: after about the second day, the food became very boring. A glass of fresh orange juice is NOT all-inclusive, and neither is the gym!

“A great hotel very friendly staff”

I have just returnd from a 2 week holiday at the three corners hotel in sharm el sheikh in egypt. We stayed there from the 9th to the 23rd of May 2008. We have been to egypt 5 times now, and I can say this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. As soon as you walk into the reception area which is kept very clean by a young man called Ella, you are made very welcome. The reception staff are very poliet towards everyone, and cannot do enough for you. The toilet area again kept exceptionaly clean by Ella, is one of the best toilet areas I have been into in the world. The area of the hotel is massive, with about 157 rooms, mostly in 2 stories high with the occasional 3. The have 2 very big swimming pools and a large childrens pool, with plenty of seating areas around all the pools. The entertainment team are excellent. They ask you to join in there games, but do not over bother you if you are not willing to take part. The food was always well cooked, with plenty of choice. The only small complaint about the food would be the choice of breakfast, it was the same every day, but you get this in most hotels in Egypt. In the pool area, you have a choice of 2 bars, one being a swim up bar, and is manned from 10 am in the morning by a very cheerful and helpful staff member. 2 people you should stop and have a chat to work in the reception area, and they always have time to chat about whatever you want to, and they are a mr Haitham, and Mr Elsayed, two very likable people. Overall this hotel is an excellent place to stay, for families, couples, or lone travellers. I have enjoyed it so much, that I have just booked a 3 week stay there in November this year. Before I close I would just like to say a very big thank you to two people and that is Tawfik, and Ahmed Khairy, for making my holiday so special.

“GREAT TIME, FANTASTIC HOTEL”

Three Corners Palmyra Resort

5 of 5 stars
st helens
May 19, 2008

Went here for 1 week in april, just me and a friend. little unsure what to expect but reading the reviews on here gave us an idea.
we had a brilliant time. the hotel staff were friendly, hotel was clean, nice food lovely complex and good entertainment.
there are different pool areas so you can get the peace if you want or join in with the activities that they have.
food, they have fresh salads, fruit, veg lovely pasta and rice dishes. soups, lasagne, spag bol, hot dogs burgers, chips and a lot that i cant pronounce but tried it any way and enjoyed.
the bus to nama bay was good, on time and reliable at no cost to us. our rooms were cleaned every day with a different decoration with the towels each time.
As 2 young girls travelling we were a little worried as we knew it was male staff in egypt and wasnt sure what to expect, but we can honestly say the egyptions are just very friendly people, they couldnt do enough for you and we didnt feel they were just trying to get a visa!!! This hotel gave us a great first visit to egypt and i will go back to this hotel on my next return.

“Staff make this hotel nice.”

Three Corners Palmyra Resort

May 16, 2008

I have just come back from a 2 week holiday here with my boyfriend.
The hotel is a very nice hotel, not sure if I would say it is 4* but definately lovely to look at and it is kept spotless by the staff who work very hard.
Our room was cleaned to a high standar by Mohamed every day and he would regularly make lovely animals out of our towels which was nice.
The pools were freezing but I guess its a hot country so cant expect them to be heated! They were very clean though as were the areas surrounding the pool.
The lobby was nice and the few shops in the hotel were decent and not badly priced but a couple of thr shop owners were slightly annoying like the perfume guy! But the jewellery shop owner and the guy who owned the bazaar shop opposite the toilets was a nice guy too.
The restaurant was big but I didnt like the flies that would fly in there constantly. I know it is hard as the doors are open so they can easily fly in but they must do something to stop that as they would go on the food sometimes. The food itself is not that bad. There was alot of variety but in all honesty it did get very repetetive and towards the end of my holiday I was sick of seeing the same food. Plus it is very bland. But the chefs were very nice especially the guy who would do eggs for breakfast and most of the waiters gave an excellent service especially Amro.
The animation team were great and provided entertainment throughout the day. We didnt stay around the pool much as we preferred the beach where it was much hotter and the sea was warmer. The beach isnt sand which was disappointing but the sealife does not disappoint, snorkelling around there is a must, it is amazing! And def do scuba diving, u can do an introductory dive for £25, well worth the money!
We organized a few trips through people on the beach, just boat trips and quad biking which was cheaper than our tour company.
If you go to Cairo go by plane as we went by coach and they drive like maniacs, I was very scared!
The hotel in all wasnt bad and I quite enjoyed my stay and the staff definately make this hotel. However, the only thing that spoiled it was the Europeans and Russians, they are so rude! They dont know how to say thanks and just stare at you like theyve never seen black people before!
Whereas every British person we met were lovely. I would definately stay at a more British orientated hotel next time.
Oh and some of the reception staff were rude I am sorry to say, Especially one in particular and when we asked for a wake up call twice, both times we didnt get it. When I went to complain the man (who incidentally wrote our hotel number on the sheet whihc I saw him do) checked the sheet and someone had purposely changed the last number of our room to an 8!
The hotel was nice but I would stay somewhere else next time

“Do yourself a favour and visit this hotel!”

Three Corners Palmyra Resort

May 16, 2008

I just got back from a ten day stay in this hotel and am about to book up a return visit in October; and this from someone who never returns to the same place as she believes the world is too big to waste time on return visits!

As much as the hotel is wonderful, it is made all the better by the staff. The Animation Team (Tito, Haya and Adam deserve special mention - where do you get your energy?!) are fantastic, Shawkey in the Lobby Bar is always good for a laugh (Cheers Mate!) and Bob in the Oriental Corner (and his disappearing Twin - the two are never seen in the same room however!!). Aside from these 'front of house' staff though, there are many more people who go about their work with equal enthusiasm but more in the background. Ahmed the man who can make any sculpture out of towels and linen, Atim who ensures everyone is looked after by the swimming pool, Georges making sure the restaurant runs like clockwork - and many more that would take for ever to name personally - but thank you to you all.

A few more specifics; the food is wonderful (hot and plentiful and ignore any review that says anything to the contrary), the pool spotless (slightly chilly, but throw yourself in and enjoy!), the evening entertainment good (again, the Animation team working tirelessly) and the hotel shops good value (Michael and Carter in particular!).

The whole hotel is spot-on and as I say, I am already planning a return trip. Mr Khairy, the General Manager, runs his hotel by example and is always about making sure everything is running smoothly and people are enjoying themselves - a million thanks to you for making my holiday as enjoyable as it was.

Don't be put off by any negative comments you may have read; do yourself the biggest favour - read my review and then book the holiday!
