A fairly typical holiday inn express - the building and rooms are almost identical to many others in the US.
Location is good if you want to go downtown - it's on the edge of the "copper square" district - the area that Phoenix have spent a lot of money redeveloping - so you can walk to most of the downtown attractions. The conference centre, museums, theatres, Chase field and US Airways centre are all within a few blocks. As are an awful lot of office blocks.
There is a shuttle service to and from the airport, but you have to request it - no problem when going from the hotel, but not so good if you've just come off a flight and no one is answering the phone.
Hotel facilities are as advertised - good selection at breakfast, fitness room, adequate parking.
The rooms are a good size for a downtown hotel, but about standard for an out of town one. Beds confortable. All TV, shower, coffeee machine all worked.
