Not much to complain about with the Wyland, price is a little high for a hotel as far away as this is from places you want to be, but 6 to 8 blocks is an exercise factor. The Lobby is beautiful, and the only place to get free internet service. Pool area is small, but beautiful, very relaxing place to hang out, with a very natural style Jacuzzi pool on one end. And my last shot, stay away from the street side of the hotel for noise factor, we were on the 8th floor and no where near high enough to clear the noise bouncing off the building across the street, would need to be higher than 20 floors. We took the $25 upgrade, service here is excellent every step of the way. The suite was very well furnished, dumb luck, my floor is one of the next to be refinished, the walls were showing lots of where and tare. The room had 2 flat screen HDTV's at least 27" in size, that was sweet. Air conditioning worked great, able to set the temperature to our liking and it kept it that way. We tried the spa package and that was wonderful, it was a great experience. Lots of Wyland art outside and inside the hotel. I'd say sitting around the pool was my favorite experiance, the area is shielded from most of the street noise, so it is fairly peaceful relaxing there. If we return, I would try to get a room as close to the pool as I could, then maybe the free internet would reach my room! Tried the restaurant there called Spada, Italian food was good, atmosphere was lacking. We went to see Society of Seven, a very Vegas style entertainment for the first time. Well worth the price of admission. Last year we saw Magic of Polynesia which is not to be missed. Breakfast for us is always at Duke's, best food, price and atmosphere, for any meal. Best coffee, Honolulu Coffee House. Dinners....Good food all over, for a great steak, there is Ruth's Chris Steak House in the Waikiki Beach walk area, also try the Yardhouse, it has a lot of tasty treats and great beer, over a 100 brews on tap.
