“Good value hotel in a stunning place”

This was a good value hotel in a lovely place. Not too much to say about the amenities, not out of this world but all very adequate. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, I would say stay here and get yourself to one of the most stunning resorts in the world and this hotel will not cost you too much.

“Great Place, Great Staff”

I was a bit concerned about booking a hotel sight unseen over a website as I have been burned in the past. However my mind was fully put to rest once we arrived at the Wyland. The hotel was lovely and the staff so accommodating and friendly. I really liked that the decor in this hotel was modern and clean without being all tropical prints and rattan furniture that some of the bigger properties in Waikiki are inflicted with.. The hotel has a lot of artwork and sculptures by a guy called Wyland who I think must have dropped a trip at Sea World in the 60's and had a an epiphany! not really my thing but still made a nice environment to be in. We stayed in a 1 bedroom kitchenette suite on the 16th floor and it was terrific, the bed was so comfy and there were large flat screen TV's in both bedroom and lounge room!! The noise didn't worry us at all and in a way just added to the atmosphere of being in the middle of all the action. This place is also so convenient for public transport and there is a bus stop right at the front door that take's you directly to Ala Moana Shopping Center. I loved this place and had withdrawals when I got home and I can't wait to get back next year for another relaxing holiday in the sun!!

“Wonderfull Experience”

We are from Edmonton Alberta Canada and have just returned from a one week stay from June 02 to June 09 at the Wyland Wakiki. Customer service was just great at every position in the hotel. The free first 15 min of each phone call back to Canada was a pleasant surprise bonus. Free internet access was also great. Tons of shopping nearby and the beach an easy short walk away. The bus service was excellent and the front desk reception people had or found the bus information we needed quickly. The rooms were very clean, the mattress was great, and the kitchenette worked well for us.

“Nice hotel, nothing too fancy”

Wyland Waikiki

This hotel is pretty nice, for your "just average" hotel. Nothing too fancy as far as the room goes. You can tell this hotel used to be owned by someone else, and was recently taken over. The room is pretty nice, with a comfy bed, flat screen plasma tv, fridge, and balcony. We got a "partial ocean view room", hahaha, that was a joke. You could see a stream of water, behind the buildings that we faced. But oh well, didn't really spend too much time in the room.
They have some nice amenities, with a free internet lounge right in the lobby. Cool for checking email really quick, or looking up directions. And they have a "chill lounge", with massage chairs, also free of charge. The front desk was pretty helpful, and when we checked in, we got free vouchers for continental breakfast in their little coffee shop.
The hotel is in a nice location, near a lot of other hotels and shops. It's a few blocks from the beach, but definitely within walking distance. And there are a TON of street markets just around the corner, with vendors selling jewelry, clothing, and all kinds of trinkets.
I don't really have anything negative to say about the hotel actually. Would I stay there again, maybe not. Just to get a chance to experience something else. But I would recommend it to anyone.

“Wyland the good and the Bad,.....But mostly good! Great Spa!”

Not much to complain about with the Wyland, price is a little high for a hotel as far away as this is from places you want to be, but 6 to 8 blocks is an exercise factor. The Lobby is beautiful, and the only place to get free internet service. Pool area is small, but beautiful, very relaxing place to hang out, with a very natural style Jacuzzi pool on one end. And my last shot, stay away from the street side of the hotel for noise factor, we were on the 8th floor and no where near high enough to clear the noise bouncing off the building across the street, would need to be higher than 20 floors. We took the $25 upgrade, service here is excellent every step of the way. The suite was very well furnished, dumb luck, my floor is one of the next to be refinished, the walls were showing lots of where and tare. The room had 2 flat screen HDTV's at least 27" in size, that was sweet. Air conditioning worked great, able to set the temperature to our liking and it kept it that way. We tried the spa package and that was wonderful, it was a great experience. Lots of Wyland art outside and inside the hotel. I'd say sitting around the pool was my favorite experiance, the area is shielded from most of the street noise, so it is fairly peaceful relaxing there. If we return, I would try to get a room as close to the pool as I could, then maybe the free internet would reach my room! Tried the restaurant there called Spada, Italian food was good, atmosphere was lacking. We went to see Society of Seven, a very Vegas style entertainment for the first time. Well worth the price of admission. Last year we saw Magic of Polynesia which is not to be missed. Breakfast for us is always at Duke's, best food, price and atmosphere, for any meal. Best coffee, Honolulu Coffee House. Dinners....Good food all over, for a great steak, there is Ruth's Chris Steak House in the Waikiki Beach walk area, also try the Yardhouse, it has a lot of tasty treats and great beer, over a 100 brews on tap.
