Maybe we got unlucky and got the wrong food, wrong staff and wrong room. Japanese speaking people were partying all night long. Would pr obablynot reccommend to family or friends, could I stay there again ? Probably not..

Business serviceLet me start off by saying that yes, pretty much what others have stated about the hotel is correct. Rooms are starting to look somewhat dated, and the hotel does have a high Japanese client ratio . . . . but folks you're in Hawaii so that is pretty much standard. Also, going to Hawaii is all about meeting different from different cultures and backgrounds, so I enjoyed the experience. Service was outstanding, we had room 916 with an awesome view, and the bathrooms are HUGE, which is a big plus in Waikiki. I definitely rate this hotel as comparable to the other 4 star hotels located in center Waikiki. We took the shuttle a few times, but mostly walked since the walk is only 15 minutes so not bad at all.
The location is quiet and near the mall which was great for quick dining or shopping. Last year we stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort in North Shore and at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach. While the OWB has a better location I prefer the rooms at the Prince hands down! They are bigger and more comfortable, and the BIG bathroom can't be beat. If you want to be stay at a beachfront hotel, then this place is not for you.
But if you are willing to walk 5 minutes to the Ala Moana Beach or the beach at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and be treated like royalty then the Hawaii Price is your place to stay. The mayor stays here whenever he's in town, so again just shows about the class here. Housekeeping did a good job as well! Didn't eat at the restaurants at the Prince, but had breakfast at the Wailana Coffee house which was yummy and very reasonable. The microwave rental is $10 per day and self parking is $15 per day. We REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY!!! Thanks Hawaii Prince for such a memorable vacation.
PS. We booked this via priceline bidding for $135 a night, and for that price (lol), I can't complain about a thing!

Business serviceI stayed at this hotel the week of May 4th, 2008. Generally I agree with the other reviews here. The hotel is quite nice, the location is central but not on the beach, the staff was courteous and the parking was good (but cost $15/day).
There are a few of negatives worth noting:
- There is no free internet access. They charge you ~$10/day for wired access. Come on people get with the program and offer free wireless access!
- It's a bit noisy from all the nearby traffic. There was a continuous stream of traffic passing the front of the hotel. Much of it was buses and 'trolley' buses. You want to open you hotel window to enjoy the view but the racket made it much less appealing. With the window closed it wasn't a problem.
- The furnishings are showing considerable wear. They are/were nice furnishings, but they could stand to be updated or replaced. For example wall paper in the halls was tattered and patched in places. The TVs were also older models.
Having paid $130/night using Priceline I'm quite pleased with what I got and would stay there again.

Business serviceMy husband and I stayed at the Hawaii Prince Hotel on our honeymoon. The view was lovely, overlooking the harbor and allowing us to watch the sunset, when we didn't get down to the beach in time. The room was extremely comfortable and the marble bathroom was lovely. The staff treated us very well, even going out of their way to make us happy. I highly recommend this hotel.

ServiceThis is simply a wonderful hotel. Not located right in the heart of Waikiki however, but there is a free shuttle service that brings you there.. It is near the beach Ala Moana which in my opinion is better than Waikiki since its not as congested. The shopping mall is also within walking distance... Great location..
My room was ok... very large, furniture was slightly oldish... but the bathroom was extremely massive!! I absolutely love it.. I signed up as Prince member (for free) and was therefore given acess to free local calls and room upgrade overlooking the marina and sea.. The view was nothing short of spectacular!!! Breathtaking infact... rainbows were in abundant... it made me fall in love with Hawaii in no time :)
If I had once complain, it would be the Front desk staff. Being all female, they did give me some slightly [-] vibes.. But all's forgotten when you see the magnificient view... just excellent.
