This hotel is located in the main square of Santa Fe de Antioquia, a lovely colonial town located an hour or so northwest of Medellín. It is located in a gorgeous rustic colonial style building. Its rooms are spacious and simple, and a ygreat buy at about US$40 per night. Try to get one with a balcony. There is no hot water, but you don't need it as Santa Fe's climate is on the hot side, although it does cool down at night, and we slept deliciously even without the ceiling fan. The hotel features a great swimming pool, and has a big deck in the back from which to admire sunsets across the lush Antioquian mountain landscape. We also enjoyed the hammock zone on the second floor overlooking the plant filled central courtyard. Although this is known as the second best hotel in town, it is a much better bargain than the pricier Mariscal Robledo, whose meal plans force you to eat there. We found service to be excellent and look forward to staing again in this hotel when we return one day to this lovely town.
