Kuala Lumpur is known for having the best nightlife in Malaysia.  The people of the city love going out at night and tourists who enjoy having fun after dark should follow their lead.  The city is full of nightclubs, pubs, and discos that stay open very late, in some cases until 6 AM the following morning!  Certain areas of the city are known for their nightlife and are considered by locals to be "entertainment districts".   These areas include the Golden Triangle Area of Jalan P. Ramlee,   Jalan Sultan Ismail , Jalan Bukit Bintang, and Bangsar Baru  and Sri Hartamas, outside of the city's center.
